I use an Behringer ADA-8000, and an ART DPS-II with mine. The Pros, you can track up to 16 channels at once. Cons, the ada-8000 pres are not the greatest but for $200 it is hard to beat.

The ST55 is the same mic as the Grove-Tubes GT-55. It is a great vocal mic. It has a nice warm sound to it. Very similar to an oktava MK-319.

If the Sterling ST55 is the same as the GroveTubes GT-55 it is a great vocal mic.

If you own Vista you can legally use an older version of windows. (XP or 98SE). Same thing with Office 2007. You can legally downgrade to office 2003 or 2000

I also have this RatShack Stereo mic. I may give it a try with a 12v battery.

What kind of battery, I have a 33-1080 and it takes a AA battery.

They dont list the specs of the mic. :confused: :confused: Is it omni, is it a condenser, is it any good for picking up chicks?

I would manually clean up the toms (use a wave editor and mute out everything but the tom hits) and not use a gate on them.
