Finally got a digital camera... here's some pics!

My new studio set up. I went from having a whole house to use to renting out half of my buddies bedroom. Luckily he's a rocker and cool with it. Haven't set up a drum set in here yet, but will soon.

    How does this computer look?

I could definately see the need for up to 64 GB's of RAM. More and more complex virtual instruments and sample banks are going to require much more than the common 1 or 2 GB's of today. The future of computing is going to be multicore (in the hundreds within a decades time probably) and more...

    How does this computer look?

Is it true that Windows XP only supports up to 3GB of RAM? Is Vista going to support up to 8 or more?

    building a computer.. power supply?

I know you get what you pay for, I assume a $40 power supply is not going to be all that great... any recommendations in the $100 to $200 range, or is wise to go higher that even.. I'm dumping some serious $$ into this adventure, to hopefully have a bomb ass NI Kore / Komplete - Ableton Live...

come one come all.. buy my stuff

I switching my studio over from a place where I record rock bands to one where I work on soft-synth production stuff. So, I have quite a bit of gear that has to go. I found the last time I sold stuff that I lost a lot of money on shipping charges, so this time I'll eat some of shipping but...

    Native Instruments Kore

I'm really digging it so far. I just bought Kore w/ NI Komplete 3. I don't think with Komplete that it would be anything that special, maybe in the longer term it would be once third party companies make their plug ins with Kore's filing system in mind and make a .ksd (koresound) version of...

I want an 88 full-weighted midi controller. Suggestions?

I just bought a Yammy P70, and I love the thing. Yamaha's piano feel to me is just far superior to any others out there. Plus the piano and Rhoads patch on the P70 are pretty damn good.

M-Audio Radium vs. Oxygen vs. E-mu Xboard

While I love the Axioms for having so much control, and eight pad triggers, I think the best feeling controllers are the Emu ones. They have the feel of a high end synth, while the M-Audio ones feel pretty cheap. I've never played an M Audio board that had good response. I own the the Oxygen...

    NI Komplete 3

So, I'm thinking about selling my rack synth (Roland XV5050 - $410 shipped if interested) and buying NI Komplete 3. It looks like a program with enough instruments that should keep me busy for a very long time. I picked up a copy of NI's Xpress Keyboards, for a couple dollars and was pretty...

WTB: Korg Electribe EA1 or EA1mkII

If you have one let me know. I'd put $100 into an EA1 shipped or $120 into an EA1mkII shipped. Peace, Scott

    New monitors for me!!

I've grown quite fond of the Dyna's. The bass response on that small of a speaker is very amazing. I'm also a fan of the M-Audio BX5's and 8's. I think M Audio is just putting out amazing products these days for dirt cheap. I'm not a fan of KRK monitors. They seem to me to have an airy or...
