If you can get the SP5's for around 200.00 shipped off of ebay, then go for it. I bought mine for 167.00 and I've been very pleased with them so far.

Have you looked into the Terratec line? Check out the DMX 6Fire...... pretty versatile recording system.

Sonar 2.2XL. I read the help file about how to set up the metronome feature for recording and I'm able to hear the "click" through the PC speaker, but when I'm recording while monitoring through headphones, I can't hear it. Any ideas?

I never used the KX drivers with my SB Live. But when I had my Audigy 2, I was pretty impressed with the KX drivers too..... I've since upgraded to a Terratec DMX 6Fire though and I have to tell ya, I thought Creative Labs made decent soundcards until I bought a somewhat more serious "Audio"...

I've been doing some reading on those 10k WD HD...... Aren't they a little noisy and susceptible to heating up quite a bit?

I wish..... I only have RCA L/R Line outs or the 1/8" stereo out on my soundcard.
