    exporting wavs on 788

A zip drive will not work with the 788. As far as I know, you can only export .wavs from one song at a time. Go over to that alternate site and try to reregister. It's worth it.

    exporting wavs on 788

Funny, Joe. This just came up at the 788 Refugees' site: Check out the thread here. Might want to join over there, too.

I besieged them, too. We should all offer our feedback at the Tascam Contact Page.

Will The Tascam Forum Ever Be Up Again

I go over to the Tascam forum about once a day. Their server is still slower than ever. I e-mailed them about the status of the forums about 2 weeks ago and have had no reply. I don't know what "good things are in store", but if this is a taste of it, I'm going to be loyal to another brand...

Need decent printer for jewel box inserts

Can anyone suggest a printer they've use for printing their CD jewel box inserts? I'd like to stay below $300. I'm thinking of the HP Photosmart 7350. I don't know if a standard photo style printer is the way to go. Thanks.

Studio power amps and cooling fans

I suppose you're right that I may be underestimating Hafler. I honestly know little of power amp qualifications. I could consider a fan-less amp and will give Samson a look, as well. The amps I really would like are about double my budget. Thank you, Richard.

Studio power amps and cooling fans

Can anyone advise me if they're running a power amp that has a cooling fan but is still very quiet? I'd like a studio amp that can double for live performance once in a while to run some stage monitors. I doubt that any of the fan-less models, such as Hafler, are really up to the task of...

Advice connecting recording studio gear and home music system

My old Harmon Kardon 430 receiver and B.I.C. home stereo speakers from the '70s are really on their last legs. Now I'm sitting here wondering if it would be sensible to connect my CD player, cable radio, and turntable in any known way to the rest of my recording studio gear - mixer, amp, live...

I need pro advice on multi-effects processors

It seems like every manufacturer has jumped onto the bandwagon with these. I've tried a few, but can't reach a conclusion on which to buy for fear that it will kill my recordings. I might play out with it once in a blue moon, too. I just want to be sure it's as clean and quiet as possible. Can...

    Normalization causes shut downs?

I'm just trying to learn about the features of n-Track. Every time I've normalized a song, it reports an error and forces a close when I hit play. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

Would you pay more for a more handsome interface?

Not to be ludicrous, but, do you think some of the other interfaces available are more handsome and appealing than n-Track? I'm truly pleased with n-Track and it will remain my primary multitracker. I just wonder if its appearance could be enhanced to match its capabilities. I look at Cubase...

How do you control basic output volume to your monitors?

Beautiful, Slack. That did it! I was able to specify deltapnl.exe in the settings for the mixer. Very nice and now properly meshed. Yea, no more windows volume trash!

I just bought an ECHO MIA, MISTAKE??????

I'd open that PC case and just write down every model number of every part that you can find. The hardware details will make sense of any issues that will present. It's not really hard to know what hardware you're sporting.

How do you control basic output volume to your monitors?

Thanks, badassmak. Yep, yours is exactly like mine. I was more interested in figuring out how n-Track distills all of this and how well it meshes with my card. It seems that the control of the card is best left to the card and its dedicated control panel and not 'automated' through n-Track...

How do you control basic output volume to your monitors?

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Slack! :) Good to hear from you really. I get to the windows mixer by going into n-Track View, then Soundcard's Mixer, then Playback controls. The windows mixer comes up that way. I thought that the Delta AP should be there, but it isn't. Perhaps my card...

How do you control basic output volume to your monitors?

I'm new to this, but not too green. I'm curious how others are controlling the volume output to their monitors. I use an Audiophile 2496. All I want to do is mix down imported .wav files. I'm doing no recording on my PC. I have purchased and registered the 24bit version of n-Track and the...

    Crashes with plug-ins

Got the free download of n-Track. Got the free downloads of the ParEQ and Comp/Limiter. Every time I run the downloaded n-Track plug-ins it locks up and forces a shut down of n-Track. Anyone else have this problem? Should I expect that purchasing n-Track and the seperate plug-ins will solve...
