No, that is a no go, unfortunately. Sorry, I didn't think of that when I said "no limits." I am fairly confident removing the wallboard won't be an option.
Well, it is in my basement. There is a washer and dryer nearby, a television and a pool table also all reasonably close. All these...
I will probably scrap that idea. I am now able to nail things into the wall, so that, I assume, should make this easier. The only reason I did like that idea was because I could change the sound based on the angle of the walls, could I still do that while soundproofing the room if I can now...
Would it be a waste of time, or would it improve the sound quality? I realize it most likely won't keep all the sounds out butthere wouldn't be many sounds that would even get in there anyway. Any suggestions to my plan to make it a more effective use of improving sound quality? I could...
This is my plan for a room that has more soundproofing, so I can record vocals and other instruments in there. I will use some sort of carpeting that I will lay out on the floor. I will also most likely lock the casters into place. The reason I have to have casters and hinges, is twofold...
While, I upped my budget realizing I didn't need the Samson S700 since I already have a cheap stereo amplifier that I got from Radioshack, that currently works with my monitors, so the Samson S700 wouldn't really be needed...
Well, I have decided to not purchase Samson S700 and the M-Audio MobilePre, since I do have an extremely cheap RCA SA-155 stereo amplifier that will get the job done. So therefore, I have opted to get the better, IMO, soundcard:

When it says three inputs and three outputs or two inputs and two outputs, wouldn't that be a pretty limiting soundcard? I wouldn't be able to hook up many instruments to my soundcard, and would get a Soundcraft M8 for no perticular reason since the two links I provided said they only had...
Something like this?

Or, http://www.m-audio.com/products/m-audio/audiophileusb.php
Would those work well? Anyone have any suggestions or reviews on those products?
dwillis45, thanks for replying.
Yes, I am still going to use my Soundcraft M8, and I think 8 would work well. I wouldn't need THAT many, and I believe 8 was suggested by someone else.
$200 is what I am willing to spend.
Thanks again,
Chris
I have a flat-panel iMac, and I found out it doesn't have a PCI slot, at least from what I have read, so are there any soundcards that are good for like $200 that don't need to connect to a PCI slot?
Thanks,
Chris
Well, I don't think the iMac has any PCI slots, so are there any other soundcards that are just as good, but you can just plug into the USB or Firewire, or something other then the PCI slot??
Thanks, Chris
Yes I did read it. I still don't think it is a very good auction, factoring in the final bid, shipping, and the fact that the guy selling it has 0 feedbacks, I would never do this.
I advise everyone to check out the user first, and seeing is as this guy has 0 feedbacks I wouldn't trust the...
How is that a good auction? That is what it costs, 500, to buy the mic? Why would I buy it off of Ebay and pay for shipping, when I can just go to a store and get it for the same price?
That isn't a decent auction. Whoever is selling that is trying to con someone into bidding more then it is...
