"Jazz for your head" wacky jazz

Bmwerx, I am not sure what these music hosting sites convert uploads to. I have all my files saved as WAV files. I have been using Bandcamp because it is a cleaner less cluttered site. I was using soundcloud but theres too much fluff and crap all over the screen. I dont know if Bandcamp is...

    "Scary, unsettling Jazz!!" Ambient/atmospheric

Devil's interval | Bob Ruzzo Here is a "song" from an album of dark and atmospheric music recorded in 2013. This particular tune utilizes some quartal harmony on keyboard with some tritones.

"Jazz for your head" wacky jazz

Rhode is land is a very small state. I have been to enough open mics/clubs/bars to see that rock music is the staple. The younger crowd likes pop music and there are some Country and alternative factions out there. Jazz in not in demand here. Of course you could go to Newport or Providence some...

"Jazz for your head" wacky jazz

I guess you are right. Strange is in the ear of beholder and it is subjective. But I am just basing this on what other musicians are doing here in my neck of the woods. Jazz is not a big thing. Pop music is pretty big. And 70's rock. But it seems here if you play anything other than "cowboy...

"Jazz for your head" wacky jazz

OK OK OK! I was just listening to a bunch of other music and I guess since most of my friends call this music I have done "strange" then I don't feel so bad. Ok let me re phrase by saying "Here is some simple jazz recorded by myself for anyones amusement." Now I have to go listen to that Jazz...

"Jazz for your head" wacky jazz

Yes, the second tune is supposed to end like that. Some of these songs I like and there were a few more that I decided not to include. I have to listen to them alot and decide whether I want to keep them or ditch 'em.

"Jazz for your head" wacky jazz

Jazz for your head | Bob Ruzzo Here is an album of some strange off-beat stuff. Less "elevator" music on this one and more adventurous. Recorded in 2013, all-original except for 1 cover tune in there. (Herbie) I played all instruments except drums.

Light Jazz done quirky and modally

Hi Pinky, Yeah I have been doing alot of my own softer music (muzak!) I guess as I get older (57 this year) I am getting soft. I will look for more upbeat stuff to post next time.

A jazzy tune in Phrygian mode

Here is something from a new collection of mellow easy listening tunes. This is the most recent song I have done. I played a Nashville Tele for the lead, a Rhodes keyboard emulator, bass guitar and synth. The song is done in C Phrygian mode...

Light Jazz done quirky and modally

Greetings Here is one of my "albums" released last Fall. I have a bunch of these but this one is a favorite. If you like quirky JAZZ then U may enjoy some of these tunes. I am NOT interested in making any money, I do this for fun. I like to see what people think of the music. The quality, the...

    Honest opinions

I am new to this board and have a question. I have listened to alot of the posted songs and have one complaint. Is there any way they can be posted where they are in stereo? It is very difficult to listen and critique a song when it is in MONO! You cant tell how it was mixed and it sounds flat...
