well then the quality is up to them. if the drummer cant drum his parts by himself to a click.. (how the hell can people NOT know their parts to the songs they wrote?) then the quality will suffer.
Ideally you would want to use all 8 of those..2 snare mics, 1 or 2 kick, 2 OH and the rest on...
the production quality is great my friend! i could use a bit more bottom end on the kick in the mix. but the vocal quality to me sounds great and there is a lot of room in this mix.
and i love the delay you have on the intro guitar. what did you do for that?
The acoustic guitar needs to have some EQ out of the low end, along with the guys voice. and try cutting the shaker at around 2khz to rid some of the harshness.

logic pro can also utilize everything that GB has to offer as a...
I agree with most of what was said above..
however... i would change performance a bit. i like your voice and i think you can sing... but i dont like the way you are embellishing it.... it sounds like its from disney's Aladdin.

a sample of the of the screamed sounds i did/got... if you like it, i can tell you how i did it. ;)
Im sure its been said.... but im a big fan of multi tracking guitars. brings a lot into the equation. depending on the song/context i frequently double or quad track unless its a song where the rhythm guitar is just supporting the bass line.
A metal song is a broad spectrum of what the guitars...
