Anyone need some extra practice mixing??

I just wanted to add that my laptop isn't the greatest and as a result there are 2-3 small hiccups per song so I will send the camera audio along with it so you guys can patch accordingly. It'll have to line up (pretty or not) in order to not screw over the video.

Anyone need some extra practice mixing??

Hi everyone. To keep it short, I recorded my band at our rehearsal space a couple weeks ago. We did 3 Rhcp covers (factory of faith, monarchy of roses, and otherside) and 2 originals. professional video was also taken and these vids are going to our YouTube page when the videographer is done...

What is the latest that singing should begin??

This was personally my opinion as well. I wouldn't notice something like where the singing starts unless the intro part is rather dull and drags on. Ours is a minute, but IMO it's a fun, gradually building minute so it utilizes the time well. I'll post the tune itself when it's ready to compare...

Hi, what are your thoughts on what is the latest vocals should start on a "radio friendly" song? 25 seconds, 40 seconds, 1 min, 2 min, dont matter?? We have a tune we're recording currently and the singing starts after about a minute. Someone mentioned that "usually" on radio material the...

Can a vocal mixing expert out there shed some light on this picture? :) (RHCP-Snow)

Hey all, I came across this on youtube. It's a slice taken from Snow (Hey Oh) which includes Frusciante's vocals and some other parts. My question to the experts out there is if you would be able to describe how they went about fattening up his vocals to sound so thick??? This can be pretty...

Inputs Showing as Inactive (Firepod + Cubase 4)

Hi everyone! I've been using SX3 for the longest time and everything was fine. Just upgraded to 4 and everything seemed to be installed properly. I went to Device--> Device Setup--> and for VST audio system selected Firepod ASIO. Went to VST connections and set my inputs to 8 mono in. On the...

I'm trying to find the best place to set these up, as well as my drum kit, to get a fairly unharmed sound. Any advice is greatly appreciated. So far ive...
