...and what about cheaper? I really just need to run my guitar through my PC - but don't want to use the cheap motherboard audio card.
What about something real cheap and just a single input for a guitar, any ideas?

Anyone have comments on this? It's the perfect price for me, and does what I want. What do you guys think of it, anything for the same price that is better?
Have fun trim. I was a music studio with 3 studios - and then became a label.
Slapping labels onto CDs of a pretty hack-job label if you ask me. And besides you aren't gonna be dealing with the actual playing and recording music.
You might as well sell BBQs or cars for that matter. But if you...
Thanks to one person for actually helping!
Brad - Thanks, I've purchased Giga Sampler and already have a brand new computer to use it on.
Everyone else seems to really have anger towards others. I hope you'll learn to be happy :)
I checked out band in a box.
Yeah - it's literally that. This programs layout honestly looks worse than a 2 year olds crayon coloring. This program costs 250 dollars? (it's the full version mpx or something)?
Has anyone here seen this layout? It literally looks so funny I could not believe it...
I am interested in creating backtrack music to pop and classical vocal (emma shapplin etc... kind of operetic) overlapping.
I am unfamiliar with VST and don't think MIDI quality is good enough - I am looking to have drums (which I already have some of) and all orchestral instruments along with...
I own the DFH and the first (and currently only) DFH add-on.
You cannot ask for anything better! it's wonderful, truly wonderful.
PM me if you'd like to know anything more about it, there's alot of specifics I could tell ya!
There are a variety of book+CD packs at bookstores that can help a great deal.
When taking vocals lessons the first major focus is the way in which you use your body to produce the air flow... the second is learning to control the airflow at all pitches in your range, and this work sinto...
PiltdownMan - I thought your writing was excellent as so was the musical work.
Well done - would love to hear more! Don't apoligize for others idiocy, you reacted as rationally as they deserve.

Zowie - I meant, by sales locales - was that a local label would want to be in contact with local indie shops, regular record stores etc... where they could supply the albums in question.
I never said labels HAVE to have all those - you don't need most of them sure - but that's the complete set...
Calm down Al. :)
The html is fine - I have some problem in my uploading that keeps cutting the /html and /body tags off.....it's not my doing - need i to reinstall!
Sure Trim.
get your label name trademarked - and create some type of CD label template that has the label info around the edges....
.......and you'll hold the name is you build up a label through the methods i said above.
But you might as well start the name off with your own work!
FireWorks makes an enormous amount of code. Look at my main page - the entire code was made in FireWorks.
FireWorks makes code in html, in javascript, in php, in css, and in asp.
Wood - I think you may in fact be a bit to serious about a "sound-free" computer.
I have a computer that has absolutely no parts designed to be noise free, and I can take a vocal mic and full volume and full boost and put it 4 feet away from the fans on the power supply pointing right at it -...
regebro takes a rather unhelpful minimalist approach.
A record label is all of the things I said trim.
Apparently regebro wants to either start an argument are mess with syntax.
Let me say this:
Any record label you've ever heard of has ALL those things ten times over.
If this regebro user...
No, MUST is a harsh word.
A record label technically only needs to take the artists product, promote it and provide sales.
So the band could record the product in another studio, and bring the product to the label to deal with getting the word out etc...
But this is rare.
Record labels (all...
At first I didn't realize you had the quantity listed I thought geez it can't sound too good! But here is my input:
I'm not sure you covered your set properly.
You didn't list if it's a double bass or not - and I assume one of your cymbals is the hi-hat?
This is difficult.
You need a mic on...
