    Small Room Acoustics

Thanks again, great stuff I can understand. I'll remember all of it and take it all in. I'll be starting my project in the next few days, so I'll be sure to keep good notes and take pics as i can.

    Small Room Acoustics

An issue I have is if I set up facing the short wall, the wall behind me has a total of three doors. (I'll try to post pics later,) in one corner is isn't an issue because the door is three and a half feet from the corner. However, the other corner has a door leading to the hall, and a closet...

    Small Room Acoustics

Thanks John and guys for the thread. I'm totally blind, and most of the sites I've been visiting to get a grip on room treatment uses graphs and images that mean nothing to a blind guy. Throw that on top of a ton of technical specs that I really don't understand and you end up with one confused...

Mic and more stuff for recording flute and piano

There's nothing wrong with Audacity at all. I have several friends in radio that use it on a daily bases. I also have a buddy that just bought one of the Behringer C-1U mics and he loves it. Like you, he doesn't need or want a professional studio sound so the mic is perfect for him. It doesn't...

Mic and more stuff for recording flute and piano

Without knowing your exact budget, and exactly what you are wanting to accomplish, I'm going out on a limb here and going to assume a couple of things. You're a young person, probably a student and living at home and money is a big factor that you don't have a lot of. You're wanting to post to...

Mic and more stuff for recording flute and piano

In simplest terms, an audio interface connects your microphones and other sound sources to your computer - it bridges the gap from analog to digital. Audio interfaces are commonly equipped with mic preamps, line inputs, and a variety of other input options.

Sonar5 - can't record disk may be full

Did all that. Even clean my audo disk and came up with a total of 19.6gb free. Went through all the global/folder and audio/advanced options and made sure all references were pointing to the correct disk. defragged, made sure no anti virus was running, disabled my network connection and...

    control surface and sonar

Thanks Nash, I found the manual in pdf on the distribution disc. I've got a friend coming over later today, and I plan to look in to the fx sends on the bcf2000. I found the layout in the readme, one can only hope it is laid out like the document says. I found the import and export. In...

    recovering tracks in sonar

Yeah, I'm usually a mad man when it comes to hitting control-s, but as luck would have it, this is one time I didn't. Where am I missing it. I can't seem to find import clips

    numbers next to track names?

I had look at the pdf version of the manual, but didn't find that. I'll look again. I figured it was some type of meter, and figure it was the input meter. However, not being able to see I couldn't tell which number made it clip, nor could I see it turn red. So it clips at 0.0?

    numbers next to track names?

I've notice when I set up an audio track there's a number next to the track name such as -56.2 and then it changes as I record. What are these numbers, and in what range should they fall?

    recovering tracks in sonar

Hi, I just spent two and a half hours recording audio in to Sonar when all of a sudden with out warning it closed. Of course I didn't have autosave on. :( However, the wave files are still in my audio folder. Is there a way of recovering these tracks so I don't have to re-record them?

    control surface and sonar

I've looked on disc, and don't find one any where. Do you know if there's a Sonar manual in pdf? Can you answer these questions for me? 1. How do I patch fx in to my tracks, so can adjust them on the fly with my bcf2000? 2. Where did the audio tools go? In cakewalk there was a menu item for...

    control surface and sonar

I'm goinb to love it. I've not even begin to get the power out of it, and it has already made my life easier. I went back and read another one of your post, and see where I didn't even need to install the Sonar template. That could explain why the lower button does not solo my tracks. I'm...
