Ok, it's the whole PT/MAC discussion again...
I'm pretty clear about this...I've worked with mac all my life while I'm in pc land (europe) and worked with both PTLE and PT...the only real life experience between them is the hardware and processing power, and the last years both were a advantage...
a month ago I traden my goold old never used yamaha mu90r against a dust collecting Itam 16tr 1" deck...complete with remote(3KG!) and 16 tascam dolby units.....
but it's damn expensive and you don't get the advantages of digital editing....and you don't wanna miss that these days...trust me...
I hear bad things about bush, but he is still there!
Serious..got nuendo 2 running on mac without problems...and have worked for over 15 years exclusive with mac. I know about the problems some have with mac and nuendo but if you take a look at the nuendo forums you'll see that there are...
Well, AT sure makes decent mikes...the normal condensors like the 4033 and the 4050 are used in our studio everyday...even for lead vocal....
My experience with tubemics:
-got a pair of groovetubes model1 (favourite of van halen) but it sucks for anything else than OH and acoustic...
Just switching from the old trusty tascam da-series convertors to the motu convertors and boy...like my ears went open. Running into nuendo soon to be on a G5.....
Escpecially the high frequency are a lot more present even at 16/44.1
Me is happy :p
Hehe, I remember when we got our first professionel large console in the studio....we had to hire a van just to get it to the studio. it weights about 160 KG and we had to lift in into the studio with only two guys (and I'm fairly small) I would rather die right there on the floor than dropping...
Nop, no problem here except that it is a little setup :p
Got a 40 ch. inline soundtracs productions console fully automated with TT-patchbay, coupled to 40 tracks of tascam DA88 and are replacing at the moment the tascam for:
32 in/out on motu running into a G5 dual 1,8.
Who beats me!;)
hi there,
I have been kind of missing out on the whole vst and virtual instruments thingie..I always worked with digital tapemachines and outboard processing..
Does anybody know a good tutorial te make me see what is happening in that virtual world? So I can get a peek of it and go my own way...
my 2cents....protools is mac and nuendo is pc..
I used to work G4 with protools (both Le and tdm) and it worked flawless...switched to nuendo on the G4 and it has been disaster...I'm getting myself a DAW builder PC for the system..
so from my hand on experience...
for protools mac is the way...
Phase reverse button is between the mon and channel fader...
you can't hook up a monitor to it....it does have a pc connection though ( i love the implemented scroller)...so if you wanna view the automation on big screen...only way is to go with the pc software (you'll need a real 386)..can't...
if you're married....half of the budget is going to your wife...
she only let you spend $50.000 on goodies if you buy here goodies she likes for the equal amount
Well...you've got a living manual by me :)
Anyway, is it the patchbay version of the patchbayless version?
how about the powersupply check..I guess it was ok than..if it goes bad...I can ship a very impessive supply designed for the solitaire..(even soundtracs itself was impressed and...
No, it's a combination of heat and moist....ever had those primera test disk in the mail? try holding them when it's really hot weather and your hands an sweaty......
and they spray becoming yellow is due to the fact that dirt ans dust sticks to t (unless you keep the cdr stored in it's box...
I started with providing my clients with inkjet based printed cd's...they were kinda great...good printing quality and finished with spray....but when you rub them with moist fingers...the inkt eventually smears....and after a couple of months the spray tends to make the white yellow (just like...
I get it..this is a trick question...just like...
what do you prefer:
a. having a girlfriend..with all the trouble of insecurity, arguments etc...or
b. the world of marriage...no more insecurity....no more arguments....eternal love....

no matter how big your studio...
