Set the pan of each mic to center. Solo one of them and check the levels. Bring the other mic into the mix and the check levels. If the output dropped with the mics combined, you have a phase problem.

I've listened to this three times and it sounds really good to my ears(especially the vocals.) I think it should stay stripped down period... All the tones are great and I hear no eq conflicts. A very nice listen! :)

You're lucky! At my local Salv. Army they ebay the crap out of everything. The leftovers end up on the sales floor or in a third-world country. Needless to say, I quit going there. I miss the thrift stores in Portland that I used to frequent and score big at every time.

I think 1/2-track and 1/4-track simply refers to the number of tracks per width of the tape. So there could be 1/2-track 1/4", 1/2-track 1/2", and so on.... I use 2 tracks of my 1/4" 1/4-track to mix(1/8"). More magnetic mojo would be the advantage of wider tape if I can venture a guess, but as...
