Thanks for the reply - not sure yet on the 1202. Still deciding what I'm selling and what I'm keeping, but if you're interested, I can contact you if I decide to sell.

cleaning house - what should stay and what should go?

First, I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong category. Technically, this question could fall under several headings. Basically, after an extended break, I want to get back into recording and making music again. I will be using a PC-based system and I have a few pieces of gear from...

    Cakewalk Pro Audio 9/Windows XP

My choice in software is what is available to me at this time - it's what I've got right now. I don't intend to use it on a permanent or even semi-permanent basis. I read some of your previous posts about HS2 - I think you mentioned that it's similar to Sonar 2.2. Is there a track limitation...

    Upgrading from the 1010lt...

I think Banjo Center = Guitar Center + sarcassam :p If that's the case, I'll have to call and check it out.

M AUDIO 1010lt....will it give me more inputs?

adapters.. what kind of adapters do you guys use to go to 1/4 inch jacks? Maybe it might be worth building a breakout box for this thing? I build stompboxes, so I can't imagine doing something like this would be all that difficult...

    Cakewalk Pro Audio 9/Windows XP

And why is that? Any others share this opinion? Though I am really interested in why you think this is a waste, and what you would consider as an alternative to the 1010LT.

What interface are you using? I'm thinking of getting the Delta 66 or 1010LT to use with this combo.

Noobie! - concerning mics and MD players

I'm sorry - I didn't mean to say phantom power in the second sentence, I meant plug-in power.

Anyone using Cakewalk PA9/Win XP with a Delta 66 or 1010LT?

I need a sound card for my system and I'm interested in the either Delta 1010LT or the Delta 66. I like the ease of having the breakout box, but for the price, the 1010LT seems like it does a lot, and it's something I can use for a while. Anyone using something similar to this?

Noobie! - concerning mics and MD players

Some MD's (like mine) have a line in, but as others have pointed out, you need to power the mic. Some MD's do have plug in power, but there's a good chance that yours does not. Though, if you're hearing *ANY* sound at all, that might be a good sign that your MD does have phantom power...

Need some help selecting microphones for multiple applications

This could be a bit of a mistake on my part - but - if I'm only using a mic on snare, a mic on kick and two overheads, would a bit of bleed on the hat be that bad?

Need some help selecting microphones for multiple applications

Interesting...that might be worth trying out. I have to see if I can dig up the 58. Is there something close in the sub $200 range that works better on snares than the SM57? What about guitar cabs? btw, I do appreciate the other suggestions - they're just out of my price range at the moment.

Need some help selecting microphones for multiple applications

I'm trying to get back into recording on my PC and I'm trying to determine which microphones will serve my needs the best. I would like the ability to record vocals, drums, electric guitar, bass guitar and acoustic guitar. For the time being, I will only be recording one or two instruments...

Anyone using a UC-33e with Pro Audio 9.0?

I've been looking at this product for a while, but the truth is, I'm not sure if it does or will do what I am looking for. For me, one of the biggest drawbacks of using Cakewalk is the fact that all of the mixing/eq tweaking is done with the mouse. Can this unit be configured to run in...

    Should you EQ during recording?

I'm not trying to EQ anything. I've never even used the mixer on a project yet - I originally intended this thread as an opinion thread - not realizing that the bulk of the board would sway in one direction. I must say though, I have enjoyed the dialogue a LOT. Understood. That does make a...
