Harbinger APS 12 powered speakers.....good or bad??

Today was a great shakedown gig. We played small theater with a typical theater stage, a curtain behind us and acoustically balanced multi-tiered ceiling. We had time to do an honest-to-god sound check. I was TOTALLY impressed with the Harbingers. See my pervious post for the mixer setup...

Harbinger APS 12 powered speakers.....good or bad??

Mike, We are a 5 member classic country/ 50's R&R group. Mixer is Yamaha MG82CX. Lead vocalist uses SM-58 thru TC Helicon Harmony G harmonizer and we use Boss drum machine. Lead guitar and bass don't go thru mixer. I generalized a bit about eq boost across the board. Speakers are still...

Harbinger APS 12 powered speakers.....good or bad??

Well, I bought a pair and played my first gig with them today. About 100 people seated auditorium style in a 60 x 30 room. Fed them an 0db analog signal from my mixer to the balanced line input on the Harbingers. Harbinger master set at approx 3 dots. Line volume set at approx 4 dots. This...

    Behringer, a jem or crap?

I own a couple of Behringer products and have never had the slightest problem with either of them. I'm not a big fan of their manuals and had to contact support to answer some questions that weren't clearly explained. Their response was quick and detailed. Someone up the thread made a VERY...

Harbinger APS 12 powered speakers.....good or bad??

Yes, I've read virtually every on-line review I can find, many excellent and many not; but most on the websites of those who actually sell the speakers....therefore, to me a bit suspect from the git-go. I have a good friend who is a full-time stage musician who has used Harbingers as well as...

    Yamaha mixer support

WOW. I was blown away today. I emailed Yamaha support this morning with a question about my Yamaha MG86CX mixer. Their auto reply said they try to answer with 24-48 hours. Within a couple of hours the PHONE RANG and it was a Yamaha support tech calling with all the answers to my questions...

Handy Gadget - Behringer CT100 cable tester

I have a CT-100 also. Paid less then $25 for it. Great tool, especially the intermittent fault test function. Anybody who uses cables should have one in their tool box. I don't take it to live gigs 'cause I carry enough spare cables that I can simply replace one rather than take the time to...

Wondering if anyone has experience with Harbinger APS 12 powered speakers? How do you like them and how/where do you use them?

Best handy recorder for super high volume levels??? (Recording live bands)

Consider some type of mic attinuator. What type would depend on the mic you are using. I haven't posted enough for the forum to allow me to include a link, but do a google search for "mic" attenuators. You'll find ones similar to the ATT-448 Hosa XLR Mic Input Attenuator 3 Pad.

    I'm looking for a manual

Yes, I have, plus I've posted on every user group I've been able to find. Audio Centron seems to be out of business, so there doesn't seem to be any support there. Thanks for your post!

    What is "Level Alignment"

Sounds like Chineese for "if you can't hear it, turn the volume up." (Playback)

    I'm looking for a manual

I have a fairly old Audio Centron Elcipse ACM-16 mixing console (16 channel.) Does anyone have a manual for it? I haven't had any luck searching the internet.

Would you guys go to eBay for a brand new product, such as a DP-24?

I agree....many sellers of new equipment on eBay ARE the same big guys (MF, Sweetwater, M123, etc) that we all buy from. For reasons only they know, they OFTEN sell the exact same item on eBay MUCH cheaper than they sell the same item on their own website. It probably has to do with overstocks...

DP-008 how to estimate total available recording time

I've posed this question to TASCAM twice. I get an auto response but never an actual reply. I often record our live gigs, running the mixer output into input A and mic-ing the bass amp into input B. I love the quality I get with my DP-008; however, I've yet to find an accurate way to display...

    DP-008 and vocal harmonizer

Use the "pass thru" jack on the harmony for the guitar. Guitar goes in the bottom 1/4" jack. Top one goes to either channel on dp-008. Harmonizer out (XLR) goes to the other channel. Harmonizer will still respond to the guitar but the guitar will be in the other track. If you are playing an...
