Oh, that might have been me then, I thought monitors were used to mix properly, levels, eq etc, and the headphones to listen for some details....but now it kinda makes sense to me to listen for sonic differences on the monitors, b/c you've got a more true freq range. I've been playing around...

Well, that was why I was looking for a hd recorder. The computer I'm recording on isn't mine, so I always have to put it in my room and so. It isn't the best PC (read first post), so I would need more RAM and stuff. That was why I was looking for the AW16.

Hey, As you might know Ialso record using a creative SBLive Platinum card. I hear everybody say to stay away from them. Why aren't they good? High latency? Poor converters? Only two simultaneous channels? Can anyone tell me? Stan.

On clean guitar I liked the 990 at about 3 feet of my vox ad30vt. The recording sounded exactly like the sound that came from the amp itself :). For live I also use a beta 58 on my amp, and it always sounds good through the PA...never REALLY listened carefully though, but it didn't sound...

I really like the idea, I think I would try something like that myself, if I had a multitrack card like the 1010LT. I think you can just try to wire it like you've drawn, I surely don't think you can destroy the card with it, so at worst it will just not work. Good luck with it, let me know...
