    Opinions on Beyer M69

Often recommended, but never really described around here. What does anyone/everyone think about this mic? Thanks, Graham D. http://www.hr-faq.org

Don't fret man Don't worry about all of the models Mark7 - only the ones that get talked about on the BBS. Shure, for example, makes a million mics. I don't plan on covering them all, because a lot of them aren't even mentioned around here.

...Here comes your update Daily update 7/22/03 Things are good. A couple of more mics have been added on, frames are now finished, but theres more to do... Yes, ribbon mics would be nice...I realize I'm missing an important part of the discussions here, and I'm working on putting them up as...

Send me the whole thing, if you could. Thanks. ozraves, I didn't realize that there was a whole site behind the mic cabinet article! Tell you what - I'll make one link for mojopie.com instead of linking the single article. Each of the articles you posted are good, but if I made a link for every...

Hell yeah wow! Mark7, that'd be awesome. There's a lot to do, and I won't bother listing it for you here, because I'm sure you can tell where the holes are (case in point: CAD mikes). Whatever you can find, send it to me at grahamware@aol.com. I'd definitely appreciate any contributions...

chessrock: Thanks for the article tip. I'm on the lookout. I completely agree; the piano recording section is very well done. However, this is not my work - it's Harvey's. So far, at least, I'm only posting direct quotes from the forum. None of the work is my own, or has been written for the...

    Sticky-ing The Mic FAQ

Hmmmm... Well, I'd be flattered if it became sticky, and thanks for the thought Mark7. I believe Recording Engineer has the ability to make it a sticky, but I don't think he's convinced the FAQ is sticky worthy yet, and I don't blame him, as the FAQ is not finished. It is my firm belief that...

Daily update time! FAQ update: -Frames implemented, so the FAQ is easy to navigate. -Page split into several smaller, more consumable pages. -Mic page by brand implemented; by type still under construction. What I need: -I've got what I believe are the most talked about mics on this forum...

    Opinions on CAD Equitek E-100

What are thoughts of people around here on this kick mic? Has anyone had any experience with it? How does it compare with the D112, Beta 52, or ATM25? Thanks, Graham D. http://www.hr-faq.org

Is it necessary to use a pop filter?

When is a pop filter really a necessity? Will I always need a pop filter, or only when recording certain styles? Will a pop filter affect the sound of my recording? Thanks, Graham D. http://www.hr-faq.org

FAQ daily update and responses: I'm dividing up the big page into smaller pages, because 140k is just too big for some 28k'ers. I'm revamping the mic section. I realized alphabetically might be more handy for reference, but NOT for the newbie. I am rearranging the microphones by type and by...

I should have been more clear of what I expected; I apologize. It would be best to make it a sticky when it's ready, and I myself don't know whether it is sticky-worthy yet or not. It's certainly not finished, but I don't think it will ever be finished, because I'm going to continually add to...

Yep Well that is precisely the idea DJL. It's barely adequate now, and it can only get better, as I'm working on it as hard as I can. The reason why I posted it before I finished it is becuase it already can help out some newbies looking for help. A sticky would eventually make it that much...

good calls ed! Honestly, I intend to implement everything you've mentioned. I'm working as fast as I can to make this better, and any/all input helps me get my priorities straight. After all, I did start this yesterday! I agree on the frames; the thing is getting too damn big. Thanks for...
