That article makes no mention of the es series. I would guess it was written before their release. It also reads like the problem is indeed a motif rack problem and not a motif problem... They're pretty much completely different machines as the function chart illustrates. Good info for anyone...

For metal/industrial a virtual analog synth would be good.

Make sure the korg and drum machine are set to the same midi channel, and set the zoom's midi clock to ext (external) so that it may recieve the clock signal from the korg.
If I were you I'd use pedals instead. They are cheaper, smaller and will give much more flexibility than an eq. You could pretty easily create a crude synth with your white noise being fed through a couple of pedals, like a filter pedal and a wah pedal...
It might actually make some cool sounds...
With your budget, I'd say a cd is the way to go.
White noise is easy to come by. I have tons of it... And pink noise, and pretty much every other kind of noise too. Just about any va synth will produce white noise.
