I have two 4033s that I use for overheads and many other things such as stereo guitar micing. Definitely get the second one, you'll regret it if you don't.

The coffee can thing works. It may not be the safest thing to try when you have been drinking,:D, but as long as you get the can hot enough, it will cut right through the drum head.
