Yeah, that's probably a good idea! Thanks for giving it a listen :) I tried the RealComp plug-in that comes packaged with Reaper, so I honestly have no idea if that's multi-band or not. This is my first real poke at multi-track home recording, so I'm still learning about compression, EQ, etc...

The kick mic is a CAD KM212, which is part of their Pro 7-piece drum mic set. From what I've read, this mic is the weakest mic of the lot. I have the mic about 2" from the resonant head of the bass drum, pointed at the center of the head.
