    Thank You for Surprising Me

Wong, Brush set can be purchased here--not very expensive And, there is actually a bunch of different snare hits, one of which is an indefinitely sustained swirl if you a. hold it down, or b. play it, and sit there with your foot on the sustain. It's a pretty useful kit. And, fairly cheap...

Why can't Sonar open this .mid file?

Looks kinda crazy fun. Med students blowing off steam. Anyway, tombuur, I'm out of work now. I'll be home in half an hour or so, and if you check your pm, I left my email address so that you can email me. As I have noticed that once I get home, I can no longer seem to post on this particular...

Why can't Sonar open this .mid file?

hey, Would it help if I opened it in Reason, saved it as a midi file, then re-opened it in sonar and saved it. Because I did that, and it will now open in Sonar for you. I have it sitting here on my computer if you would like me to send it to you. I saved it as a midi format 1. If you...

Why can't Sonar open this .mid file?

I did notice that there are several midi types that you can save something as. If the file you're trying to open isn't one of those four, maybe that would be the problem--they all end in mid. I am pretty sure. Well, good luck!!!!!!!!!!! Karaoke with the students. Hee hee. How old are...

Why can't Sonar open this .mid file?

The following enhancements have been introduced in SONAR 3.1: blahbahblahblahblahblah, then.... • Support for KAR (karaoke) files blahblahblahblahblah.... There's that, but I don't know why it won't read a regular midi file. I don't generally import them myself, but it brings this to mind...

Why can't Sonar open this .mid file?

Are you using Sonar 3 with the 3.1 update? I think I read yesterday on their list of fixes for the update that Sonar will now play karaoke files. Of course, I also have no clue what I'm ever talking about. Maybe previous versions would open these, and something was wrong with Sonar 3 initially.

    making beats?

It is actually quite easy to make loops in Sonar...using the groove clip looping functions. I tried to reply to this once, but couldn't do it from home. I wrote a lot, too. Private message me if you really want to know and haven't done some other method. If it's a go, we can try to post some...

Laptop Audio interface? Indigo? Edirol USB 2.0?

What'd ya get? I have a Layla from Echo Audio, and I would buy another of their products in a second. I think the Indigo I/O is the one I'd have bought if they made them when I decided to get a decent sound card. But, I'm no dj, and I need audio ins more than a couple of outs. I am very...

Sonar 3- VSTi's only sound when song is playing, not idle

Hey all, does anyone know if that normalizer, or denormalizer, whatever he calls it plug in from www.digitalfishphones.com might actually be something worth looking into? A lot of people seem to be saying that when the audio is stopped, it won't make a sound. I'm afraid to mess with the plug...

    New tune with bad cymbals!

Now, that is pretty funny!!!!!! Thanks for the laugh, and the listens you guys. So far, I have a couple of votes to keep the strings, and one or two to lose them. It's funny, but they seem to come in a measure behind where I started recording them, but I also noticed that they seem to become...

    Piltdown Man here... new one!

Piltdown, That was so cool--you had me zoned in. Your voice drew me in for sure, but the rhythms and rock in this composition was fabuloso. I'll never make a mix comment until I know what the hell I'm talking about, but it sounded damn fine to me! Better than I would do for sho. And, funny...
