Well i just bought some okatavas mics as my first pair of condensor mics but i dont have enough money to buy mic stands... anybody know and remedies to make some homemade mic stands?? I just want to record my drum set to experiment..... as soon as i get more money im buying the stands but...

Well i know these mics are VERY HARD to find but give it a try. OKATAVAS! I recently found some Okatavas MC 012 01(NOT THE CHINESE FAKES!!!) But some OG's on craiglist for 130$ for the pair. There F*cking SWEET! Recorded my acoustic and They sound CLEAN!

Should i sell my firepod? Well i bought a firepod like four months ago but dont like it much.... the pres dont have much gain. The headphone jack doesnt seem to work, its like mono not stereo. Do you guys think a Motu interface would work for me better?

Yeah sounds good... Because im searcing on what rack gear i should get to add to my home studio.... but i see all these people with lots of gear in the rack :confused: But i got a clearer idea.

Okay update. Ive found out that the MC 012-01 include the 10 db capsule... and also with the 3 other capsoles.... He even lowered the price for 90 bucks pair because he need the money. But anyways what you guys think, is it worth it?? This will be my first overhead mics i plan to use.

yea i didnt realize that there was fake... i think there fake since there "Oktava MC 012-01" not "MK 012" Are they very different?

Yeah i know what u mean i went through a headache when i did the firmware update lol. But other than that it works flawlessly.
