I can't help you with that Peavey mic... But it sounds disturbing that an 11 year old is operating yard equipment. I hope he's more careful with a lawn mower than he is in his choice of microphones.:)

It's a fairly common practice. Nothing crazy when you're a broke musician trying to save some cash. It really does breathe life back into some dull strings. Toki might have a good alternative, although I don't see 212 degrees as anything that a piece of steel can't handle.:cool:

I don't know about lately, but my take on Peavey in the past went like this: If it wasn't a bass guitar, or a CS-800 power amp... then I wouldn't own a Peavey anything. :D I remember buying into their specs on the DECA power amps. I tried for a couple of days to make those sorry amps push...

Here's a small Martin for you. I've got a 1953 O-15, but it's nowhere as clean as this. Great little guitar, too. I was about 7 years old when my grandfather and I went to a pawn shop and picked it up for $100. It has a few hairline cracks (just like when we bought it) but the action is still...

P.S. He hits notes that you wouldn't believe could be hit without a pitch shifter. BTW, you could always learn to play some really cool bass riffs with a 9... just to piss off your guitarist.:D
