i got a ludwig 22x18 and i think i might perfer it over a 16 since all my friends have 16's so i know what they sound like. The way i think of it is 16 maybe good if u want ur doubles to really stand out but the doubles on my 18 sound just fine and the punch u get out of a 18 is so sweet.

hey guys im in a ska band which uses a lot of dis and clean. Distortion sounds great alone.....but as i gradually add other instruments the dis sounds like static and doesn't stick out and lead the band. anyone got any tips? Thanks

call me cazy but on the compressor in adobe there is a setting called power drums...and it uses 999:1 compression maybe be drastic but sounds amazing on my bass drum

i have the beta 52 and the way i get my kick sound is with tons of compression and eq without those my kick sounds like crap
