The GC's I checked all have the DMP3's (not discontinued) for $200. I think the blowout price was a regional sale or something. www.cdbm.com has it for $189 and free shipping on orders over $200. Maybe you could pricematch it to zZounds or Music123 (they'll usually beat it).

Samick does have pretty good quality control. However, I have not seen a Made in Korea Squier in over 5 years, so I think they are going with a different company. The newer Squiers made in China and Indonesia are less consistent, but generally good.
