    Guitar One 100 top guitarists

I thought it was neat, but I think that Greg Howe and Paul Gilbert should have done much better, and good shredders usually don't get the respect that they should in lists such as these. Anyway, I was satisfied, it was a fun read. I'm glad that Mclaughlin did well. He's possibly my favorite...

    Omnistudio problem

It sounds that way with everything I record (if I go line-in, and it's the same way). It's not until I double the tracks and reverb them, that I can make it sound halfway full, but then it sounds horrible in the mix.

    Omnistudio problem

When I go in my mic in on my delta 66 (omnistudio) soundcard, the sound sounds different on cubase. It seems to have more lows, and sounds mushy. I'm not sure if this is a problem with Cubase or the soundcard. Maybe my micing? Any ideas? Oh and I'm using a Shure SM57, micing my Line 6...

    the greastest guitarist of all

Well, I'm just glad Mclaughlin was on that list. I CAN'T BELIEVE Gilbert wasn't on that list. I forgot, was Friedman? How about Michael Romeo? Whoever made that list is a total ass.

    My Guitar Playing

Cubase, Mackie 1402VLZ + Omnistudio (delta 66) combo

Yea I plug in a microphone (shure SM57) or a mono guitar cable. Unfortunately I have tried to understand the manual, but it's very confusing.

Cubase, Mackie 1402VLZ + Omnistudio (delta 66) combo

Well, I love my setup now, but I have no idea how to do some tasks with it. I'm trying to record drums with a set of mic's, going into the mixer, and then the soundcard. 1. I have no idea how to get cubase to setup so that each mixer channel (where a mic goes in) goes to a separate track in...

How do you get the guitar fat in the mix

Hey, thanks a lot everyone! You guys are always great! Anyway, I want to try micing the amp with 2 mics, but I'm not sure how to do that on my cubasis/delta 66 omnistudio breakout box setup. Anyhelp on that would be great, or is that another thread?

How do you get the guitar fat in the mix

I run my guitar to my modeling amp. I'm playing a S470, only effects used are on the amp but usually record dry and add verb later, and micing the amp.

How do you get the guitar fat in the mix

Well, I record instrumentals, but I can never get the guitar to sound fat or in your face in the mix. There is only one way I can do it, which is recording the part twice. However, I do a lot of improvisation, and can't double track a lot. Any suggestions?
