Any opinions Tom Anderson Guitars ?

It's funny, I've only heard Anderson pickups, which are excellent, comparible to Fralins, but never have I played a Tom Anderson guitar.

    Guitar amp poll

No kidding? I didn't even know that ampeg made a metal'ish amp. Oh by the way, can an Extacy pump out heavy distortion? I want something versatile, but if it doesn't have excellent blues tone, that is fine.

    Solid state or Tube

It won't be as funny when a newbie comes in, and actually tries to ice his tubes. I don't know, maybe he didn't mean it that way.

Which book is good for learning how to solo???

Do this..... Get Joe Satriani's album Surfing With THe Alien, and get the tab book to go along with it (should be cheap, under 10 bucks). Learning these songs is well worth it. This will give you technique. Then buy a scalebook such as Adam Kadmon's scale grimoire and learn your pentatonic...

    Solid state or Tube

Heh ok, but Mclaughlin has probably used a bunch of random stuff, hasn't he? I love Dime Bag's playing, but I hate his tone. I am sort of surprised that Allan uses a solid state. Does he use it live? Do any of these guys use combos? I think that solid state combos are so much worse then...

    Dongle Crack for SX 2

Wow, looks like someone is going to need a new screen name for the home recording message board. Honestly though, leave the guy alone. You can't change the fact that he is going to crack it either way. I don't support it, but I will not start fights over it. Plus, it'll be kind of fun...

    Solid state or Tube

Most professional bands use tube amps, so there must be a way around the noise. My line 6 piece of crap makes 10 X the amount of noise that my friend's Marshall JMP1 does, so I don't think that noise is the issue. Many metal bands play through Mesa Boogies, Peavey 5150 II, or Bogners, and I've...

    Solid state or Tube

An AC30 solidstate? what??? Cmon' guys, lets stop arguing about tube and solid state, let's just leave it at this : Tube amps are better :D I like debating these issues. But I still don't understand, other then reliability, and cost, why a solid state amp could be nearly as good as a...

    Frickin' Awesome Delay Pedal

Surprisingly, the Line 6 DL4 delay modeler pedals. Usually modeling pedals suck, but this pedal kicks major ass.

Thread 5400 in the Guitar forum

I'd rather get a Fender then a Gibson, but Gibson's are better for bluegrass, and are more solid. But if I was to go for that style of a guitar, I'd just let a Gretch do the work.
