    Pro Tools Help

No, sorry.. Thought that it was obvious that Eleven Rack worked with M-powered.. But somewhere in my learning of PT I must have missed something, since it's not possible. Except for use the 11rack trough another interface..

    Pro Tools Help

I think you just could use the M-powered and use the 11rack on that. But I don't think you could use more interfaces at once anyway. It's a lot of switching, and the Mackie as well with m-powered driver.

    Monitor Poll: M-A BX5A, Alesis M1 520, KRK RP5 Rockit

I have the M-audio BX5a. Their ok for that price, but was a bit dissapointed over the sound quality.. Sounded a bit cheap :( From working on Genelec 8030A a couple of days in the week at the school, and then over to Bx5a a couple of hour everyday in my homestudio. They are absolutely good...

    Boss BR1600 as pc controller?

Hey! Just checking out the BR1600. Can't find the things I want about it. Perhaps someone here would be happy to help? :D 1. I need more inputs. So thought of using the BR1600 for drums and other more-inputs work. One thing I wonder. If you record onto a CD or the hard-drive, would that be in...

    Sound Card

Oh nice! Thanks :D Just send it to me! Hehe! Just love to figure out solutions! The bad thing is that I trying to get a job and save some money to I'm done at school to move out and built a studio in my house. So for now I just stick to a Mbox and an A&H stereo out mixer, and alot of mics and...

    Sound Card

No, you could use the Mackie as a soundcard. http://www.mackie.com/products/onyx1220i/ read more about it here. it's a firewire output on the mackie, aight? But you also have a eleven rack you could use as well, don't know if you could use more interfaces at the same time in the M-audio...

    Sound Card

Ok. I did a fast research and what I've found out was that the Delta is incompatible with PTLE, along with all other M-audio interfaces. Other interfaces, such as Mackies Onyx, could also run with Pro Tools, with a special driver. But it'll run on PT M-powered. That's the bad thing about Digi...

    Sound Card

If you are using PT LE (?) then I don't think you can use a M-audio soundcard. M-Audio only for M-powered version, after what I've understood. But haven't tried, so can't say 100% sure. Another issue could be that PT would only recognize one of the sound cards, since the M-audio is gonna be...

    Allen & Heath - GL2400 16

Hey. Just wondering if anyone have an experience with this one, and btw, if anyone have it. Could them please  put up a picture of the connectors/rear part. Or just answer this question; have the A&H GL2400 with 16 inputs a Direct Output on each channel. And how are the mixer...

What mixer do you have and which do you love?

For example, it's alot cheaper just over the boarder, to Denmark, Sweden, or a little longer journey to Germany. Have contacts there, so could just order in my name, to them. And then get it myself. And bring back home for saving a lot of money. But driving to Germany, is a day or two driving...

What mixer do you have and which do you love?

Yup. The same ATB-Xa ver 2.1. The ATB24 is for (calculated from NKR to USD) 9500$ USD. And on Sweetwater the ATB32 for 7749$ USD. The best economic choice for me (for all sound equipment, since it's so over-expensive in Norway) is to buy stuff on the internet, ship them to some friends in the...

What mixer do you have and which do you love?

Have an Allen & Heath Zed24. Really nice sound quality. NO noise! :D But got my eyes open for Toft the last week, they look awesome, and really sound nice as well. But can't find them anywhere in my country. Should take a look on eBay. But it'll be at least some years before I upgrade from my...

    Where is your studio located?

Our studio is on a loft, in the house to the father of my friend and studiomate, pitched wooden roof. So very nice sound! And luckily the neighborhood aren't to angry about the noise! The father is neither;)

    Best isolation in "in-ear" phones?

I would stay away from Skullcandy. They don't give a SH#T about their customers. The other minus about them, I had Smokin' Buds, one of the cheapest(?) is that the cord's easily worn out, and the standard rubberoutsidetheplugs (if anyone understand) is very uncomfortable. Must admit that the...

    Plugins????

Yeah, uploading would be easier if you want help. But a compressor, de-esser or a eq specially on the vocals, even the standards make alot of difference;) Or after my expierence:D What I believe in is to try out yourself, perhaps the microphones or something could drag down the quality?

    Ex-29 vs Sennheiser HD 380

Hehe, think I'm going for the Sennheisers!:D It's wierd. Since my Skullcandy(CRAP!) in-ears got worn in the cable, for about 3 months ago, I bought them for 6 months ago. The boss in the store I bought them in said I was an idiot who steal from them etc. etc. He said they only would loose money...

    Ex-29 vs Sennheiser HD 380

Hey! Anyone got opinions? The Sennheiser is just a bit more expensive. But almost every parts in them are changeable, if something get's broke, also a changeable cable, wich is great! Read of the most people who are using the Ex-29 headphones are really really happy with em', and they have...

    Preparations for 101

Thank for answer! I think I read somewhere that if you have higher course certificates Digidesign would give you discounts and etc. And the paper could be good to have at some later point. But the plan is to ride to the top, and fill in the holes I've missed so far. I've also read multiple...
