Are there any good sources out there about mastering? I’ve been looking and what I’ve mostly been finding is just mixing. I would just like something that specifically speaks of mastering, especially using a computer. Mostly for those steps where bands carry in their recorded and mixed tracks...

Ah! But therein lies the reason for my decison of Bx8s in the first place. I can't afford the Bx5s and a sub. So my plan was to get the Bx8s and later, much later, add a sub.

I finally decided to get Bx8s and now it's been discontinued on Musiciansfriend. What's up with that?!!

When you add the sub whatever crossover method they use will puss the bass to the sub and less to the BX8s. Which is why I''d think the Bx8s and a sub should sound better than the praised bx5s and a sub. This is exactly what I want to find out. But theory and life hardly converge.

J, are you saying that what is released is not what they mixed? I was of the impression that it was but, of course, enhanced. Then again how much could you enhance a mix.

Opteron 64 Has anyone used the Operton 64? What were the results? I want to get two dual core Operton 64s when they arrive but I'll still be using 32bit software and operating system (WinXP). I was just wondering how the Opertons perform for you guys out there, dual or otherwise.
