yeah, I downloaded directX 9 and installed it, but sonar still complains. I tried to find the installer for 8.1 but I couldn't find it off the web.

I had to re-format my hard drive and now Sonar 2 XL will not re-install. It keeps saying that directX 8.1 is not installed. It then installs directX and tells me to reboot, but when I try to re-run the installer, it does the same thing. Does anyone know how to correct this problem? Thanks

Is there a way that I can record a "macro" in sonar. I find myself undoing the last recording, reseting the cursor back to the starting point, and re-beginning the record a lot. I was wondering if there's a way to automate a sequence of commands so you just have to hit one button.

the only problem is that I have already recorded all my tracks and I am now into the mixing stage. I can't go back and re-record everything with a template.

the delta 44 has pretty good latency specs too, so you can go to your audio settings and set it for "input monitoring." this is good if you want an effect to be there when you are actually recording. In other words, it processes the effect immediately.

I can listen to my tracks in Stereo when I export them and run them as WAV files in another program, so I don't think it is a problem with my drivers.

Anyone have more suggestions on my original problem? I have tried everything that has been posted and NO luck... The problem is that even when I pan the tracks, I can not hear the changes in sonar. I have to export them to hear it in stereo which is a HUGE pain.

Nope, not in offset mode. I messed with that for a while and it didn't solve the problem.
