Actually about the build quality - I use AC adaptors but I was still curious how the hell do you changed batteries in the Behri pedals (they have 2 'push inside' bolts on the side but I had no idea about them at the time). Spent 2 hours trying to crack the top with a screwdriver, and failed...
Lol if they try hard to copy someone else and do a great job at this, why would I bother spending twice or thrice on a subtle difference :p .
It's really not the price factor that I like Behringer for. I've used DOD, Digitech and Zoom because they were cheap, and now I only use Roland/Ibanez...
He didn't say that at all. What he said is that he feel as safe using not-brand-name equipment now as he was with much more expensive high-end equipment.
No.
I had used Mackie CFX20 for half a year, and I stopped after I purchased a MUCH less expensive Xenyx. Did it sound better? No. Did it...
I'm sure there are, like Cooley in the video I've just posted.
But unfortunately most of the 8-stringers are like this - https://youtube.com/watch?v=XBmplAVjmlQ
And I actually think Meshuggah are quite cool. But still - my 12 year old brother could play 3-notes + palm mute
Fucking hell, this thread is lame.
There was a thread on Van Halen boards about how Grunge has killed metal. For what it's worth all hair metal bands would have died regardless, while Ozzy/VH/Motorhead etc kept being as strong as ever. For all I know those 80-ies "metal" bands should have died...
We have the 3rd winner.
My 3 secrets -
1) Dry is better than wet, and wet is to disguise sloppy playing
2) Ducktaping horns and covering the deck with RANCID stickers doesn't make you sound hardcore. It makes you look like a douche
3) 8-strings are for losers :D
I totally LOLed at the hair metal comment. With the exception of Skid Row everything else sounds like shit now.
I personally hate hearing reverb on vocals full-stop, and on guitars unless it's a solo. But there are some exceptions like August Burns Red - deathcore band with quite damn hearable...
I think vocals could be just alil bit louder in the mix.
Other than that - sound crystal clear. Reminds me of Dokken (band or solo) - not something I listen to much today, but used to be a massive fan.
The second track had a better sounding guitar IMO, but there's no reason why the modeler can't sound just as good.
BTW I really liked the baby-fronted vocals :)
I love the vocal's mix - it just sounds in place (unlike plenty of home recorded vocals I've listened to). Not a big fan of punk, but the arrangement/recording is great.
And arrrrrrrr PzIII Sturmgeschutze! Feuer!!
:D
Never used a Behri amp, but my Marshall hums like a motherfucker, and I had to return it for repair 2 months after buying it coz the speaker had just randomly died. Came back from work one day, turned it on and nothing would come out except for a hum.
That's supposed to be the King of Amps...
