Yeah, what we did was take out the intro completely, so now its just like a short intro song...and it has lyrics now so i will post it sometime after school, hah.

Our First recording/mix...by 14 year olds Yeah so we are 14 and have our first recording using kristal, a few mics, and a crappy PA head to sub as a mixer. so here is our first recording...as you can guess, its nothing special. But comments on the song would be good, no vocals yet. check it...

14" snare 14" rack tom 20" floor tom 24" bass drum yes, its that traditional monsterous 70's drum set.

I actually forgot this, there is no bottom head on the floor tom. Is this a problem? The set came used without a bottom hoop or screws. Its an early 1970's Rogers XP-8 if anyone knows where i can get parts.

The original bottom Rogers heads on the top, and Yamaha Batters on the bottom. And yes, I am horrible and confused with tuning.

The volume is fine...its just that there is so much damn ring that it sound slike one big mess. I just want it muffled to the point where you can tell which drum is being hit yet doesnt get that cheap plasticky sound. I guess thats a bad way to put it but i think a lot of people have this problem.

is there any kind of copyright that prohibits the use of "we're sorry this number can not be completed as dialed" or any computer voices? i have some at the end of my newest recording and this just came into my head.

right now i am using duct tape and swiffer cloths but its very unattractive and gives it a cheap sound...any good techniques to muffle the sound with stuff around the house?

I have a Soundblaster CT4760 in my computer right now. Is this a decent soundcard to be recording stuff on? I am running everything through a mixer into a SoundBlaster Live! Drive. Anybody else have this setup? If so could you tell me how the quality is? Thanks, Derek
