    Last attempt..

Okay.. I don't know if it's just me or if my drums suck, but every time I try to tune my toms, unless I tune them super-sloppy low, (I mean like 1-2 turns at MOST) they make a 'ping' type sound.. especially on the small 8" tom and even low the smaller drums have no sustain what so ever. I want...

    something i've been pondering..

Awesome.. I'm working on writing something I can actually use this in.. I think I'm gonna try the reverse snare hit thing.. that is, if I can get my drums to sound halfway decent...

saw this somewhere, can't find it again :(

I read somewhere on here about input levels when recording.. it said something about when using digital inputs not to overdrive the preamp as opposed to analog where you keep the levels as hot as you can. I THINK it said guitars and vocals (anything with long sustain but normal attack) should be...

    something i've been pondering..

I'm gonna have to experiment with some stuff... cuz now that I think about it there's two other songs that have bad ass 'reverse swells' in them.. Metallica - Freyed Ends of Sanity and Job For A Cowboy - Entombment of a Machine

    something i've been pondering..

I was listening to "Pull Me Under" by Dream Theater and in the part where the vocals come in, it sounds like the engineer took that first piece and reversed it and layered it underneath the normal track(s).. it sounds really neat.. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has ever done this before...

    New guitar or amp???

okay think of it this way.. which does less justice. a PRS through a 5 watt solid state practice amp? or a squier through a soldano half stack? I think you should take your guitar to a music store and play through some stuff, and then try to find that tele and play it through whatever amp you...

    trouble tuning my bass drum..

Thanks rami.. i've been actually experimenting with tuning it up like you said... it seems that as I go up there really isn't a 'sweet spot'... it gets to a certain pitch and then the overtones start to really come out and it doesn't sound right. It's funny because I put the same batter/reso...

    trouble tuning my bass drum..

haha i guess my question is wtf am I doing wrong? honestly, I think I'm gonna see if the guy at the 'local' drum shop will let me bring my bass drum in and maybe help me tune it with the right heads and such... it just sucks cuz I guess the characteristics of my room are so different from what...

    trouble tuning my bass drum..

I'm having trouble getting my bass drum to sound good... I was wondering if you guys can help me out maybe... So on the batter side I have an evans emad. I'm using the smaller muffling ring because I think the big one takes all the boom out of it and I don't like the sound. For the resonant...

    Äîñòàâêà öâåòîâ. Çàêàç öâåòîâ. Klumba.ru

People like my dad, and 6 year old kids will click it. Also people who are very computer-illiterate. They don't understand that just by clicking a certain link that it can infect your computer so they will carelessly think "Oh, I wanna see what this says.. Whoops!" ...or if it's gay porn.

    Getting a Ringo sound...

Wouldn't the media that everything was recorded on have a big impact on the sound as well? I mean think about it they were recording OLD school reel-to-reel and nowaday we are using DAWs that record digital 24bit blah blah blah...

    Tele guitar question

Tele's/Strats are awesome weither MIM, USA, or Japan.. In fact.. that brings me to suggest that you try to look for a Japan tele. I just searched ebay real quick and there was a bunch around 450-500.. A little more than a MIM but they are nice! In fact there is one on here I really like heh...

    s/pdif special cable? basics.

So.. I am trying to experiment with SPDIF... I used a 3 ft monster video composite cable to connect the SPDIF out on my digitech RP2000 to the SPDIF in on my firepod. I can't get a signal. What am I doing wrong?

    Roland V-Drums

Nice! I like the song even.. But yeah I use that SAME kick almost exactly on one of my v-kits.. yours sounds better though.. but really, the toms and the snare sound REALLY frigging good. Honestly.. I didn't expect results from this with adobe audition too.. good job!

    Roland V-Drums

But I did just get a brain storm.. Wouldn't I be able to do exactly what you said, but instead have the kick trigger MIDI and then use the MIDI to trigger EZDrummer or BFD/whatever? Although, I've heard of a lot of people using Drumagog to replace tracks with samples like that.. I haven't tried...
