Yes, and you could get 2 screws into units 1-3, but for 4,5,6 you'd not be able to get any screws in most likely without modifications. And I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but these units are HEAVY!!! Lots of iron. I wouldn't want to have them in a mobile unit with only 2 screws per...

I know exactly what you're talking about. I've done it many times. Loosen everything, shoehorn it in and re-tighten. This is beyond that. When I put all 6 units on top of each other the top holes on the top unit would not line up. The screw holes were barely visable. Putting it almost 1/8"...

PS - Chance - in the pics above, the top pre's are cheated all the way up and the bottom pre's all the way down and I still can't wedge a blank panel in-between them without a hammer and the fear of scratching the pre's.

Yes, up to probably 12+ pieces racked right on top of each other with no problem. Mostly in hardwood prefab rails, but some in metal rails as well. Combo's of 1 & 2 space pieces mostly. With occasional blanks thrown in for good measure.
