    FOR SALE/FOR TRADE: M-Audio ProFire 610

Bought this unit used from a local seller in April of this year. Was -NEVER- able to get it to function well with my laptop. Turns out, there were some compatibility issues with the chipset used in my laptop. Now, I have an interface I can't use. Here is a link to the website for a better...

    Best Pre-Amp Under $150?

Meh. Everyone has an opinion...including me. Currently using a DMP3 that sounds nice & clean, as well as a Focusrite ISA One (great CL deal).

Guitar Preamp suggestions? AC\DC classic Rock.

While you just can't beat a mic'ed amp, I think notCardio is on to something. I had some great luck a while back getting a good, full tone for slide guitar while recording direct. This is what the signal path looked like on that recording... Tele > SansAmp Classic > Alesis 3630 Compressor >...

Thanks for the info. At least now I'll know to check it out if one becomes available at a decent price. :)

    Ribbon Mic

Thanks. I just didn't have an idea what you use these for. I don't own one, and I've never had the opportunity to use one.

    What Interface Do You Use?

Chiming in just 'cause I can, I reckon. With the desktop...I'm using a rock solid Delta 1010, some KRK Rokit5 monitors and running Reaper and Ableton Live 8 for DAWs. With the laptop...I'm using a Focusrite Scarlett 8i6, M-Audio BX5a monitors and running Reaper and Ableton Live 8 for DAWs...

How is it different from a condenser? When would you most likely use it?

    Reaper 4 Is Out

I had the correct track selected. This was something I'd donr before. Heck, I learned it in Reaper.

    Wtb: Mxl v67g

I'm seeing V67g's on eBay hovering right around $100.00. Currently got enough to cover that in the PayPal account. I see the MXL 2003a's ranging between $170.00 and $180.00 on eBay. Honestly, I have to go on what remarks people give these mics when reviewing them, including you. My biggest...

Seeking condenser mic for high male vocal

Somehow, I don't doubt that is a great microphone. I would love to demo this mic, per your suggestion, so don't feel ignored. However, the $799.00 to $999.00 range is a bit heady for me, especially since no one locally has one (by local I mean within 1.5 hours of my home), and the lowest listed...

    Reaper 4 Is Out

I had an odd problem using Reaper 4 last night. In Reaper 3, I could drag the bar down below to horizontally expand the tracks. Then, I could scroll the cursor line over a specific spot and split at the precise location I desired. Reaper 4 would not allow me to do that. :(

Seeking condenser mic for high male vocal

I totally agree with that. When it comes to guitar equipment, I can usually find someone that either HAS the item I'm interested in (in hopes of borrowing and checking out) or HAS HAD the item I'm interested in (in hopes that they have similar taste or good input from having owned that...

Seeking condenser mic for high male vocal

For the record...just found a couple of good deals on the MXL V67g on eBay. Still, I'm really giving the SE2200a or NT1000 some serious thought. Right now my budget is tight, but I'd rather suffer a bit and get a better mic (if possible) instead of jumping on the first thing available.

Seeking condenser mic for high male vocal

Currently on the lookout for a V67G. Posted that I was seeking one in the For Sale section. Still wouldn't mind trying one, and if I get lucky and find one for a good price, I might jump on it. The info on the SE2200a and NT1000 were helpful. Gonna have to keep my eyes open for the good deals.
