    building drums

????????????? if you don't see any craftmanship in his work, why would you buy product from him? just because it's cheap? that could potentially be a bad decision...IMHO if you're seriously thinking about having him build you something - ask some questions - where does he get his shells, etc.

What does Behringer Tube Ultragain T1953 tube warmth do to a kick sound - samples

interesting results... I have a bluetube...I route the signal through some tube sometimes to give the kick sound some more 'meat' the behringer, to my ears, sounds as if it does the opposite!! - it takes a bit of the 'ooomph' away from the kick sound (as you dial in more, the sound gets a bit...

    drums, 4 mic's and a delta 44.....possible?

yes, it's absolutely possible... whether or not it meets your needs depends on the drum sound that you are looking for...particularly for the toms I have a delta44 and routinely record my kit with 4 mics with good results...

    What could it be

this is confusing? you have both wavelab and cubase on the same computer, right? assuming that's the case - you can set wavelab up to record via the same interface that you are using to import your stuff into cubase... on to your other point - when you play side b of the tape - are you...

How to get from soundcard back to mixer?

well......... you could take the line out of your soundcard into a stereo channel on your board (assuming that one's open)...just make sure that you mute that channel while doing any recording into your card - otherwise you can set up a nasty feedback loop

those drums look fantastic!! question for you.....how did you cut your bearing edges? with a router table? I've been thinking of building a small auxilliary snare (the 'popcorn' variety ~ 10 inches maybe?) and I have access to a router table - just don't know how difficult it is to cut your...

    Boxy Snare

have you tried new heads? how about mic placement? both of these factors can have a huge impact on the recorded sound...maybe try some lighter heads? single ply heads can really 'open' up the sound of a snare getting proper mic placement can also really affect the snare sound...(particularly...

    Fruityloops question....

well, fruityloops is essentially a sequencer - so you can sequence a fill into a pattern. a fill can really just be a loop that you play once.
