    Out Door Sounds.

You could also overlap the clips and cross-fade between them. SO, I uh, don't suppose you'd be willing to share your rain sounds? I've been looking for something decent for quite a while.

    Call me unobservant, but....

I just noticed the "Fast Export" box in the Export dialog. What exactly is this about, besides just being faster? I assume there must be some trade-off( ie. speed for quality), but it's checked by default. What gives?

    It's here........ Sonar 4.0

This is getting out of hand. The jump from 2 to 3 was justifiable to me, but it seems like 3 just came out. I can't believe 4 is here. I don't need surround capabilities. I think I'll wait till 5 or 6.

If You're NOT A Cover Band, What (if any) Covers Do You Play Live?

I'm not currently playing live, but there are a few "covers" I do, which I've always wanted to include in a set. These are all songs that for whatever reason shaped me as a musician in some way, so in return I like to shape them right back. They really don't sound like the originals, but more...

    Anyone seen this one???

I'm no guru, but I don't think th problem has anything to do with MIDI. As you said, during the recording process, it sounds fine. The MIDI triggering is obviously working OK.You're just recording audio from the vdrums. Therefore, Sonar has no idea what the hell it's recording, and couldn't care...

    Stttutterring after second HD

I'm glad you wrote that. I was getting confused. Both my HD's are on the same cables, and my disk drives are on another. So I'm good, no?

    Stttutterring after second HD

I guess I got it figured out. I went into the bios, and in the spot where you enable and disable drives, it said (off) for the device spot my second HD is on. I turned it on, and it said Undefined. after booting up, everything worked ok, and it now recognizes my HD in the BIOS. What I don't...

    Stttutterring after second HD

I've been cruising along quite nicely withe Sonar PE3.1.1 for quite awhile now. However, I just added a second HD for the sole purpose of audio data. Now, when I play a project, the stuttering is unbeleivable. I'm using an AP2496 card, which has always been swell. I'm using the ASIO drivers...

Is there a way to convert a signal transient into a midi note?

If the bleed is very pronounced, you'll probably need to gate the tracks like you said. However, the Extract feature does have threshold and duration parameters which help to discern what you actually want detected, and invariably there are a few errors. It's a snap to correct these in Piano...

Is there a way to convert a signal transient into a midi note?

I've never had a problem with it. I just select the old track, choose extract timing, then play with the settings and audition to see what it does. Never had any track length errors.

Is there a way to convert a signal transient into a midi note?

Are you using Sonar? Why not record directly into Sonar, then use the "extract timing" function to convert to MIDI notes? It can be a little tricky to gety the parameters set right, but that's what I've been using to replace some old drum tracks I recorded from my old drum machine. Then I use...

    help needed with audiophile mix

I'm not altogether sure because I've never heard of or seen that software. It sounds like you're recording a mono signal into a stereo track. On your tracks, select your input, and make sure you're actually recording onto a mono track. If you're plugged into the Left input, and recording onto a...

    boss br-8

I've got a BR-8. I got a couple of years ago, for a lot more than $245 let me just say. As for whether it's worth the money, that really depends on what you intend to do with it. If you have any previous recording experience, you won't have much trouble with it. If you're brand new, it's a good...

Is there a device to pan eq bands in the mix?

That's kinda what I've done a couple of times on a bass guitar. That way I keep the low frequency energy in the center, while moving the upper-mids and highs a bit off center to make the bass stand out a little better. This is handy in a dense mix for making the bass have its own place while...

    SonarPE, Audiophile, ASIO

Anyone here using the ASIO driver for the Audiophile 2496 in Sonar 3.1.1 (Producer)? I've been using the WDM drivers until now with pretty good performance. However, a couple of my more recent projects are presenting a FAR bigger strain on my system's resources, due to increased track count...
