Gus,
Thanks for the info. Thats cool that you modded a V67. You say it came close but not quite there. Do you think you could have put more money into the modding and make the V67 surpase the V69?
Im asking because I would love to mod my V67g. Especially if I could get a better sound...
If you already do not have the interface to match 16-24 I/Os then take a look at this one http://www.tascam.com/product_info.php?pid=343
If you have the I/O, then take a look at the Tascam DM24.
If you dont have the patients to learn a new digital mixer, then look elsewhere. LOL The DM24...
Bobalu,
Im curious to what your Humidity reading is.
Based on what you stated your original problem was and the simple things you did for the problem to occur, Im starting to worry about moisture. I keep a electronic thermometer with humidity on it and right now it reads...
Welcome Gus.
Great post, but Greek to most around here. LOL
So whats a good tube mod for a V69?
How would one benefit by the mod?
How much difference would there be ?
And again.. Welcome !!!
oh, And Thanks FLAT for informing Gus
Malcolm
Thanks Alan,
Im learning. Im sure that I will get more than enough use out of the B1. To me it has already paid for it's self with the last tracking I used it for. After the guitar player heard the sound of the B1, he wants me to squeeze him in for a private session to...
I am also about to go Tube shopping. I think I will wait to see what you come up with first.
Im liking what Im reading about the Mullards. I think 4004s or something like that.
Malcolm
I have used the Yamaha O2R ( non 96 version ).
Never used a O1V of any type though which I think is a step down from the O2R series
I own a Tascam TMD4000 as well as a DM24.
My opinion on differences are :
The O2r series are good lookers. With the wood and all, but way over priced to me...
Check it out again and post what you found.
Like Marco Polo said,, im sure its just a setting.
I hae the same problems when my bass stopped giving me a signal on a seperate set of banks.
I went to the I/O settings and found that I had swithed them from M/L to Tdiff. There is a little...
Aaahh
Just read this post. It concludes what I tested this past weekend. Check out my SP B1 post about me bringing it back out again.
So my ears must be getting better.
Thanks
Malcolm
As I stated before I purchased a SP B1 a while back and when I replaced my V67g with the B1 for some vox we were working on , it didnt last 5 mins before I pulled it down.
So the past weekend I decided to give the B1 another try but using it for a different application. So im working on this...
Greetings All,
I finally got a chance to get back online long enough to post. Well as some of you may know, I purchased a V69. I had been using a V67 for this particular application. Well anyway here are my non-pro comments about this differences my non-experienced ears...
True
Check your I/O settings.
I think until you get the interface you may have to set the DM24 as a internal clock. Also once you get the mixer working,, be patient and dont get frustrated. It will pay off in the end. If you knew your Analog console pretty well, just remember that you can...
I agree, since computers got popular it seems like I am always seeing a switch.
But, Im in the studio right now and just looked at the back of my VTB-1. No switch. I also recall Mercenary selling two versions of the RNP for this purpose. You may be screwed. I dont think they use them in...
I havent really got the chance to start tracking with it yet. I have been mostly messing with my new board and setting gains, levels and stuff. From what I do see, I unplugged my V67g and put up the V69 and wired it up. I did a few check 1s and check 2s. The first thing I did notice is that I...
Im glad I read this post. Long sorry
Flossboy,
I got a few questions for you about the Giga and MPC setup. First off, I do not own a MPC but I sure as hell have seen people use them and I have played around with them. I have been tempted to get one for years, but really...
