that's not quite what i mean... anyway... if you got quantization enabled, it will eventually mess up... you simply can't keep the rythm as square as the quantization demands... so turn it off and, if need be, arrange the recorded track for quantization afterwards...

this may be a dumb question, but i've seen it before: check out options - synchronization... is all your outputs enabled on "sync out"? and if your soundcard is asio 2 compatible, you might wanna try setting the sync source to asio... this is important since, although your midi reference is...

tapping a rythm in manually usually is much more inaccurate than it seems when you're doing it... what kind of tapping are you talking about exactly? you should have a really hard time hearing the small steps in the sequencer...

i've always preferred cubase... but still, reason is pretty cool... if you want to lay down many audio tracks and layered vocals and stuff, it's prolly not the tool for you though...

already got it... there's some annoying delay on every action made by left clicking the mouse in the arrangement window... and i can't change the midi time code delay for separate channels... i can live without the mtc delay, but not with the mouseclick delay...

well... cubase *should* be xp compatible, right? i know new and improved versions are out, but i can't afford it... cubase 5 almost broke my economy (and my novation supernova did :D) and the bastards charge for new versions...

if you want great midi control, you'll probably need a sequencer in the long run. floops and similar are only slightly more than beatboxes compared to something like cubase vst... an evolution controller should enable you to do alot of tweaking, but you'd want to record your tweaking properly in...
