I posted in this forum coz Reason is a synthesizer - I wonder if there's another forum that would be better. I'm just wondering if there's anybody out there using reason, and what kind of results they are getting? I've been working with it, & studying the sample songs - the sample songs are *really boring* - & so I'm wondring how to get sounds out of it beside cheap DIY eruo-techno ...

Reason is nice. I haven't used it in quite a while but it's nice.
This is what I've made a year ago:

Loaded some extra drum samples but the rest is genuine Reason.
Waiting for a friend of mine to free up some time to do the vocals.

Reason is a tool

And one of my favorites at that!

It's not supposed to sing and dance on it's own...it does what you tell it to do.

i've always preferred cubase... but still, reason is pretty cool... if you want to lay down many audio tracks and layered vocals and stuff, it's prolly not the tool for you though...

Pretty much any synth or software will only be as good as the person operating it. I have heard some amazing stuff from Reason. For most of my music, I use Sonar. Reason is Rewired to Sonar as a slave. That lets me use all the Reason Synths etc. It is also a pretty easy piece to make patterns with. I would not see it as a replacement for a full featured DAW like Sonar or Cubase, but some people use it stand alone and make good music.

Take Care
