BR 864 is very new. I saw it on the AMS site though. Similar to the Fostex MR-8 but looks like it has longer recording time with the same size CF card.

So has anyone called fostex to find out what the hold up is? Do they realize they could potentially be losing customers to other companys ie korg, boss, tascam?

As you all know I have been comparing the 788 mr8 and the vf80. It's getting close to purchase time and I am leaning towards the VF80. I'd like to hear some of your projects on the vf80. Billisa I think you were in the same situation as me and chose the VF80. post your links. Thanks

Not sure if this is the right forum but can anyone compare the two? I think the VF80 with CD is about the same as the 788 without.
