i just took a look at the wiring diagram of the mx802 on behringer´s site - the tape outs equal the main outs, so it shouldn´t matter which you take unless the main outs on jacks have better signal to noise ratio or whatever ...?! fretless

i have one and use it with cubase vst 5.1 - it works quite well, but it´s possibilities are a bit limited. the buttons to the left and right of the faders aren´t functional in vst initially - you have to run a little helper program in the background to get them working. for further vst control...

take a closer look ... ... into the manual of your audiophile - especially the built in mixer application might come in handy. there you can route different signals to different outputs and turn input monitoring on and off as you wish. the mixer´s main outs should connect to the soundcard´s...
