CM Labs Motormix who uses this?

wondering how well it worked with DAWS.,....specifically Samplitude and Sonar...you can buy others to increase the channels as well right?

could u also insert plug-ins and control the settings etc.?
 
i have one and use it with cubase vst 5.1 - it works quite well, but it´s possibilities are a bit limited. the buttons to the left and right of the faders aren´t functional in vst initially - you have to run a little helper program in the background to get them working. for further vst control capabilites look at the list from steinberg below.

in fact it´s primarily designed for pro tools and there it really shines - at least that´s what i heard! i think i also heard somewhere that sonar and samplitude both support the motormix but i cannot comment on the degree of integration, sorry! maybe there´s also a list like the following from the other manufacturers?

The Rotary Control Section is assigned to control the following VST parameters for each channel:

Effect On/Off Section's dynamics, delay abd special switches
Left and Right Function Switches
Bank and Group switches
