    What now?

You'll be fine, I'm in the same boat with you on a lot of work to do. Which I'm trying to upgrade my setup. Just save money and you'll be fine.

    Suggestions/Opinions On Production Equipment

Okay, lets just say I was doing nothing but making beats. No, recording whatsoever. Would I need to add anything to this setup? Like, do I have to get a soundcard or preamp or anything of that nature. Right now, me and rap aren’t getting along quite well right now and I'm thinking about just...

    E-mu 1212m???

It's actually a real good soundcard, one that you won't have to upgrade. People only complain about it not having that many I/O but you can get other things for that. But other than that you can get great quality out of it.

Looking to find some kickass headphones

"Good Headphones" You can either get one of these: Audio-Technica ATH-M40fs - $69 AKG K271 Studio Headphones - $169 The K271 are good for mixing if you don't have monitors. But out of the two, the K271 are better.

    What now?

Instead of getting the Audio Buddy, get the M-Audio DMP3. It's better than the Audio Buddy. As for what you should get next, what you need is a soundcard. Get the 1212M, this way you won't have to upgrade it. It cost $199, but it's real good. You can get real good quality out of it with the...

    (SonicAlbert) Will This Setup Work?

Thanks and I won't for the stand. Lol..Oh and I've done the research on the Lynx soundcard. I'm buying a new PC anyway because this one won't work at all.

    (SonicAlbert) Will This Setup Work?

I'm still thinking about getting the KSM32 or U195. The KSM32 is real good for my vocals because it'll give me that crisp, warmth feeling I want and it'll make my vocals more upfront. But I do want the U195 first, I think I might get that one first. But other than that, will the setup be fine?

    (SonicAlbert) Will This Setup Work?

The reason I was going with the simple setup is because right now I have to get this mixtape going and because I don't have the money for the high end equipment right now. That's why I'm getting the simple setup because I know I'll have it for awhile before I upgrade. I thought I was going to be...

    (SonicAlbert) Will This Setup Work?

First, I'm going to talk about the mics. I'm getting more than just the Shure KSM32. Like: CAD M9: It's real good for R&B vocals. ADK Vienna: It's a little more frail, more suited for Pop vocals. Audio-Technica AT4050: Real good mic. Soundelux U195: Works great for Hip Hop vocals. I know the...

Best Mic Pre under $300 Poll..

Me, I'd rather save money and get a better preamp than those. Me, I'd go with either the Grace 101 or Roland MMP-2.

    More Equipment???

What you need to do is get a better mic. That mic isn't good at all, I suggest the Shure KSM32. Instead of getting the MPC2000, you may want to up your recording equipment game. But if you can get a great deal on that 2000XL get it but make sure you get yourself a MIDI Interface to hook it up...

    Mic/Soundcard/Mixer question

If I were you what I would do is this... Soundcard: E-mu 1212M Premp: M-Audio DMP3 Mic: Get a mic for you voice, all mics aren't fit for everyone. But if you're going with one of the mics you listed then go with the Rode NT1a. Monitors: Wharfedale Diamond 8.2 Headphones: Audio-Technica...

Why Not Start Your own record company?

I'm thinking about starting a label. Not some indie label but an actual label. Just going to the courthouse and getting DBA and file for a Tax Number doesn't officially make you a label. Why do people start labels? To control their own destiny and artform by owning their own label or to get...

    again wharfedale!!!

The guy who told you that doesn't know what he's talking about. Them Wharfedale Diamond 8.2 are good for recording. They're pretty accurate, one of my friends have some and he loves them. So if you're getting them, it would be a good investment.

    I Need Some Equipment Help

Gordone: I have a whole room to do everything in, it's actually the second biggest bedroom in the house and it's pretty big. I don't know the exact measures. SonicAlbert: I feel everything you're saying. I went to GC the other day and they recommended either Sonar or Nuendo. I was thinking...

    I Need Some Equipment Help

I know what it's for, it's so I can run my monitor outs from the soundcard to the PCS. It's so I can hook my monitors and headphones up to. I can use the talkback feature to talk to artist in the booth. One of my friends have the Rosetta 200 and Big Ben. He told me to hook it up like so for...
