I want to know how to set up to record a 4 or 5 piece bluegrass band with all acoustic instruments? What would the micing be say vocals with music versus music alone?
I did a few amature recordings back in the 70's at a local bar. I play guitar and have always wanted to record myself and friends so the old bug from the bar recording days bit me and I built my home studio...I've never regretted it!
Cool studio, what model is the vox amp? I have a buddy that played in a band in high school in the late 60's and he has a vox piggyback vox bass amp.But he wont ever use it or let me! phooie.
Ethan, I ordered the bass traps from foambymail. They are 12"x24" wedge traps. I was wondering whether to butt them against the ceiling and how far down to the floor to run them?
rudy, great improvment. The guys are right about the guitar hangers. I have three in mt studio, as long as you screw them into a wall stud they are very sturdy.

Jeffery, I own a 424 myself. I recentley built a home studio, check it out at bentleybranchstudio.4t.com, The 424 is a lot of fun and I'm still learning. It is simple to operate and gives good results.

thats all you need. I own a424 and it has built in preamps. its a complete studio. Just plug in your mike and start recording. Then mix your tracks down to stereo on a cassette deck. Have fun!
