Record your click to a track, then raise the volume on that track and lower the others.

Turn your metronome up?

Use a tone on ur metronome that isnt masked by ur music?
?!?
PARTAY!!!!!!!!!
The iso booth you mentioned would definately help you out. It might be better though to not make it square, or rectangular as these shapes invite standing waves. Try and make it an irregular shape with no two parrallel sides. Basically the thickest heaviest blanket you can find would be the best...
Its called REWIRE, and it ROCKS!
Look it up in the help files in Cubase, it's a pretty useful resource.
Basically all you have to do is open cubase, enable rewire, then open reason, a bit of signal routing and some hocus pokus and your set.
SM-57 ---> Audio buddy ---> Audiophile 24/96
Would be a great start as a beginner. The audiophile is a reliable card and everyone has atleast one sm-57 kicking around.
I can't compare the two, but I do have a set up RP5s and I like them alot, it's hard though for me to give you specifics though because my room is currently untreated so it's hard to give an unbiased oppinion.
Well here's better advice...
Leave your fader at unity, and adjust your trim so that your peaks are at the nominal operating level of your recording equipment.
Alright.... Here's the deal, this isn't your typical which DAW is best question...
Right now I'm running a firepod with cubase LE, and I love it. I've become very interested in upgrading my cubase to SX 3.0. Right now I'm going to an AE college so I can get an education discount on software for...
I'm going to college for AE right now, so I could probably give you some good advice.
I've got 3 more months to go before I get my 'diploma' and become a 'certified' AE. lol.... Alot of what I've learned has really improved my mixing and recording, but I've been doing this for 5 years now and...
Great for the price.
Yes.
No. Well, maybe some. It's nice to have all your connections on the back of the rack, less messy that way.
The firepod also comes with cubase LE so you can get started right away. I like LE I'm still using it to date.
There was an article in recording magazine a while ago showing how to make your own custom monitor stands.
Basically all they did was attach some pvc pipe to a base, fill it with sand and then make a platform for the monitors to rest on.
You basically have exactly what most people will have, all you are missing are monitors. Monitors are speakers which have a supposedly flat response. They allow you to really hear what's actually going on in your mix.
If you want to save alot of money. Spend $30. Get a book about recording, read it and figure out what you really need. This will save you alot of money in the long run, because you won't buy things you don't need and it will probably help you make better recordings.
It probably wouldn't be a mixer if there wasn't any lines in. Actually you have 8 of them. The first 4 channels have a mono line in and the last two have stereo lines in. (Also looks like u have 6 rca lines in).....
I'm not sure if theres a way on this perticular mixer to choose what gets sent...
