Cover of The Trooper - Take Two

thanks guys - hopefully the production end of it gets better too. I realized that mp3 is only 128 bits. I'm gonna try one at 320 and replace it if it sounds better, whch I'm sure it will. Ya, as a guitarist primarily, the bass lines were definatley a challenge to fingerpick!!

Cover Of the Trooper by Iron Maiden

Hey Sabbath, the Iron Maiden live guitar sound was mushy MXR dist. anyway. They weren't known for a HUGE guitar sound. it's actually pretty bland..I thought Id stay true to that type of sound, but I can build a huge wall of guitars for it., but listen to the original. Some pretty mushy...

Hye Cranky - I'm glad you take criticism of your work better than others do. I gave you 8 of 10. I'm not saying it's bad at all. It is good, and you did an overall good job. I just gave a comment about the guitar tone in my opinion...I didnt say it affected the song negatively. Us metal heads...

Cover of Tyrant by Judas Priest

hey man the bass drum sounds like a typewriter, but considering how good your programming is, that doesn't matter. Good job on the drum programming. I thought the overall drum mix was good. the fills sounded nice and the snare kick volume ration was fairly stable. The nice Chorusy effect on the...

VF-16 Limited to just 2 effects at mixdown?

ALL hope is not lost dude. You can optical out the tracks into your PC and add effects there, then send them back into the Fostex....kinda defeats the purpose, but hey, you asked!! In that respect the machine is not limited, and quite honestly, the effects arent really for mix down. I use them...

Heres the ONE definitive secret to getting a professional mix...

ALL recorded in London, produced by Chas Chandler. "Are You Experienced?" was recorded in several studio's. By today's standards, some prosducers wouldn't want to record a radio jingle there, let alone an album. This was 1966. "Hey Joe" was recorded on a four track..Sparse for money they...
