I been looking into www.iodalliance.com for my digital distribution needs. Anybody have any feedback on this site? Also, is anybody using two digital distributors simultaneously??
Like CD Baby , Tunecore , etc.. I'm curious to knowwhat combinations are working for folks.
See if you can get yourself an external hard drive. You can use it to store all of your files. Keep the programs on the internal disk and all your project folders on the external. (Plus it makes for easier transport & safer if hard drive crashes) I recomend Glyph or LaCie. 7200Rpm or faster.

The SonicCell is out now. Its priced cheaper than the Fantom rack unit, so I'd say its a good buy. Especially since it has the soundset of the fantom plus some new sounds and its expandable. The fantom kybd & rack are a bit steep for me. The desktop size will especially be nice for computer...
well it seemed interesting since it helps you get hooked up with itunes & itunes' japan, uk & austrailia also. I was thinking of using Snocap -that service provided by Myspace-but it looks like their agreement allows them to have some rights to your music. I'm trying to get some music sold in a...
Well best of luck to you.
If you want a good deal, holler at my folk at www.pssl.com
Anyhow you sounded like you got a good studio setup going there. As far as value for your money you could cut a few more corners to get some good stuff if you wanted. #1 the M-Box. I know some cats consider...
I hear Guitar Center is using this company as their way to offer customers part of the digital download arena. Anyone have any feedback on this new site? www.tunecore.com
if you're looking to do some computer recording, get yourself a soundcard. People say digidesign's M-box is a good way to start off, but any decent 24 bit/96 khz card will do. M-Audio makes good soundcards. You may want to consider a firewire connection or a pci card type of soundcard. Those...
well if you wanna go with a pc, check out an AMD. A dual core AMD processor would work great, and they are affordable.. If not a pentium 4 will do.
Also, be sure to get an external hard drive to store all your songs and your samples.
USB and Firewire are similar, but often with usb you may...
I've seen a few here and there. I work at a music gear shop and its been discontinued. But you just have to check craigslist in your local area, or try to pick up a second hand one at out of a pennysaver mag, or keep searching ebay.
homie, if you've dropped the fast track pro- thats probably why you're getting that unwanted sound. soundcards aren't meant to be dropped
so you can call that one kaput. However an M-box is a great choice. A lot of folks consider the pro tools to be an industry standard. Although ultimately its...
get a hard drive make sure its an external one at least 7200rpm.
try to record via pci or firewire for less latency
defragment your hard drive
make sure your music computer isn't the one connected to the internet
disable all extra features that require extra processor use.
check your...
sounds like it may have been the update. was your m-box working before the update to 7.0? If so it may be a driver issue, and you just have to go to digidesign's site and find the correct driver. but if it wasn't working before, it may be a hardware issue.
Running Cubase version 1 and soundforge 8 for editing. Sometimes I sequence with the MP, sometimes Acid Pro 4, sometimes FL studio 5. Depending on the mood I'm in. :D
