    Some of my band's lyrics

Wasting My Time Your obsidian eyes are my obsession From your ebony hair to your ivory complexion I'm caught in a war between my heart and my mind I just hope to myself I ain't wasting my time Now you'vre distorted my perception of time and space And when I close my eyes all I see is your...

    Some of my band's lyrics

Here are some of my band's lyrics: I'd Rather Not The battle calls for primitive warfare We march to the east to the clan of the bear As our horns call We march on We fight to defend our very way of life Our nomadic hunt and lust for the fight As Our Horns Call We march on The tribes of the...

    Electric guitar strings

Ernie Ball slinky, different gauges for different guitars. I like Extra and Regular mostly though. For acoustic I use Takamine Lights on my Yamaha.

It's good for metal and is (quality wise) better than any LP I've ever played, but if you aren't looking for a hard metal sound it may not be worth it. EMG 81s are probably the best pickups I've ever used and you can great sound from it but it would really help to know your style to say yes or no.

ESP make some great guitars that will definately play Death Metal well. Although your choices are limited with that price range there are some good Ibanez and ESP guitars that will be great for metal. I'd also suggest you look into BC Rich guitars which are good for metal and (in my experience)...

    Recording

If you didn't plan on listening to people with experience and knowledge why even ask? Do the people in the store have a studio where they frequently record?

    Behringer MX9000 or Yamaha MG24/14?

Although I haven't used the M12 I can say that Soundcraft makes some of the best boards around. It is a bit cheaper than the other two and it has some really nice features.

Uprising 16 year old indie rock band!

I like The Shins too. And about the band, you guys are okay. Not bad but not spectacular. Not near what I expected from your description. Not sure I'd pay for it.....

    Behringer MX9000 or Yamaha MG24/14?

I'd say go with the Behringer. Not that the Yamaha's aren't good but they are more suited for live applications and not recording. The MG mixers are meant to be used live and you'll run into some big problems if you try using it for recording, but on the otherhand they are great if you plan on...

Do you mean can you record all the channels from the board into one track in the software of your choice? If that is what you mean the answer is yes.

    Newbiest question ever

Yeah..I was looking at the behringer 8 channel mixers (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Live/Sound/Mixers?sku=631229.) Is it possible to run it from one of the main outs into my Tascam fourtrack?

    Newbiest question ever

I have been recording demos on a fourtrack for years but just recently I've been looking to buy a mixer. How do I run a line from the mixer to the fourtrack with all of the sound together?

    Newb Question

Okay. I have a copy of Adobe Audition and am trying to record using a adaptor that lets you plug into the mic slot. It works but no mater what nit comes out distortiony. Is this because of my sound card? Am I doing something wrong?

    Two Demos on Myspace

Okay. We recorded a demo using reel to reel with a 32 channel board. Unfortunately our guitarist did not finish mastering it. Here are some rough demos that me and my cousin threw together on a four track and ripped it using a computer mic and adobe audition. Don't judge by the recording quality...
