    MIDI Output

Look at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. You should see a speaker icon there. If not go to Start menu/settings/control panel/double click sounds and multimedia.

Cubase VST & "Midi Out" on the Delta 1010

This is Home Recording. Questions like that are expected. Yes you dither. Now if this was recording.org you'd be beaten to a bloody meat pulp. Those freakin elitists.

    The Blues Thread....

So where's all this rumble talk going? If you people are still up for the challenge I redid one of my short clips and set it up for a jam. Essentially there's not a whole lot of room for more but there is space for somebody at 1:20-250 and from 250-outro. http://hue.dmusic.com. There are some...

    Weird output issues

It almost sounds like a hardware issue or an ASIO issue. Either way, I would try reinstalling your card drivers. It sounds like it's hanging when you change tracks. Just a wild stab.

    Dongle Crack for SX 2

There was a kid down the street from me who was just dying to make his own beats. Man he was really down and out. I didn't wanna do it but I broke into some guys house who I knew was a musician and I stole his gear and gave it to the kid. I know that that guy used those tunes he wrote to feed...

    from 44.1 to 96

Well here's my take on it: I don't think I've ever been in a studio that worked at 96k even in larger studios. I think that a studio that supports major labels is more likely to go to 2" reel then do a conversion to masterlink using 96k rather than mess with recording to disc at 96k. The reason...

    Acid Music Studio 6

I'm surprised at how many people are still using older versions of ACID. Acid pro 5 is only $200.00 and Acid Music Studio 6 is only $69.00. For $69 you get ASIO support, VST and DX support which is totally omitted in older versions of AMS. Time to upgrade.

    from 44.1 to 96

No need to complicate things. What I'm asking is: "Is it common for a profiting studio to work in 96k?". I'm not asking the meaning of life. Just wan't a simple answer. I've never been to a studio that works in 96k.

With Windows XP work with Cubase VST5.1?

VST doesn't always play well with Win XP. You might have to run it in compatability mode. It's generally different depending on the hardware, Motherboard, chipset, CPU, RAM, soundcard. I think it's an issue more with drivers and VST as XP drivers might not be entirely compatible with VST.

Do pro's really record at 96K? I thought that was a myth. Or it could be my ignorance showing.

Cubase SE - Is it worth it?

You can't justify your wrongdoing by what other people do wrong. That's idiotic. You're just making excuses. I don't like what people do in the world either but adding to that doesn't help anything.

Cubase SE - Is it worth it?

A program with half the features of Cubase with no VST support and questionable DX plug in support. No midi whatsoever which is probably 90% of what buddy will want to use to make his "beats". Don't get me wrong. Audition has it's uses in an audio only studio but in the home recording world...

Cubase SE - Is it worth it?

Forget the damn sounblaster card! You want to record through a decent interface then listen through a crap card? If you must get a 1/8 to 14" adapter for your computer monitors(save for some active monitors) and plug them into your interfaces headphone jack.

Cubase SE - Is it worth it?

How much you wanna bet that guy you quoted is using a Soundblaster card? He basically admits it, saying he's using Asio4all. Idiot! There's a lot of people out there that don't take the proper steps to ensure that cubase runs smoothly on their system. There's some simple rules of thumb: -turn...

    emu 0404 vs audiophile 2496?

192k is overkill in any recording environment. I don't know of any pro studio that records 192k. EMU is a synth company. As far as I know these new cards are their first venture into recording in any format.

    A BUS question? Or what?

I don't have any kind of latency. This is the way most people do it with Audacity, Logic, Cubase. There's nothing unusual about this. If you absolutely need to route your mic thru an external compressor just plug the mic into a pre then the compressor and then into your interface. Simple...
