I would be glad to have either one! But I 've alway thought that a 50 watt head is plenty for recording or clubs. You can crank them up more to get a better sound while not blowing away the rest of the band. Or you could get a power soak. Never played a Boogie

hey man, Maybe look at a unit with a Zip Disk for storage. With my FD-8 and the external 250 Zip Disk I can record four or five songs on a single disk and then just pull it out and slap another blank disk in. The songs are stored in multi-track form, just not mixed.

I agree with Cooperman, you can piss around with pedals all you want, but if you want a decent guitar sound go out a buy a good amp. Get a Fender, Marshall or Boogie with tubes in it man!

Well I have the FD-8 and I am very happy with it. But the Boss machine just came out so I really havent looked at it yet. The Fostex unit is very easy to use , thats why I bought it. I suggest the 250 Zip Drive for the Fostex
